So I finally saw this movie today on Showtime, and I give this movie and easy wo thumbs up. The acting was fantastic, the poker euphaisms = phenominal! No cliches, very original and the poker content was dead on. I felt as if I was watching a final table of WSOP or US Poker Championships. A couple of my favorite parts were:1. when they figured out the "Dr's" tell, it was ingenious, a four second delay. I wathced it again I couldn't pick it up, those guys were good!!2. When Madsen folded an unkown hand with only 500K behind with 2 Million in the pot, I thought it was Hellmuth esq. Saving money when you know your beat regardless of the pott odds. (I was amazed later when they show he had made the muts, impecible acting, I thought he was beat)3. At the end when he told one of the best actors of the past 25 years, Louis Gossett Jr. the secret to winning at poker, and then just laughed with out giving up the secret... perfect way to leave it open for a sequel. All in All (Pun intended) 5 out of 5 stars. THis movie had the "it" factor that rounders missed. And showed how real tournament poker is played with the behind the scenese action. I also felt Juanda and Siedel played themselves to a tee. The only one that missed in this movie was Mark Cuban, I thought he was a little over the top, and did not show his personalilty for what it real is.Just wondering what the rest of FCP thought of this Epic movie.

So that was the name of the movie. I saw a good portion of it a few weeks ago and it was so horrid. I wanted to make a topic asking about the name of the movie so I can make fun of it whenever I can. But I figured I didn't want to waste my time or anyone elses by even mentioning description of the movie.

Its worth getting showtime to see possibly the worst poker movie ever made!
FYPThere are so many broke poker players in the world. How hard would it have been to get one to tell them how ridiculous 95% of the poker content was. Oh wait they had a few pros on set...and still couldnt get it even close. I love how the structure for the tourney is you play down until 2 people are left at your table then go to the final table.

Isn't that how you run your home tourneys? This movie really picks up where Rounders left off, in rounders they showed a glimpse of poker, cash game, but even he was leaving for Vegas for the WSOP for real poker, tournament poker, and this movie capture the essnce of real poker to a tee!

r u being serious and whats the movie call.
The movie is All In, and I cannot believe you are even asking that question. The cinemetography rivals some of coppola or michael bays best work.

OK I just watched it. WOW. I can't believe I didn't know about this gem. It's got everything -- cliche after cliche ("too rich for my blood!"), random strip poker scenes, Juanda, and on top of that its all filmed at my home casino, Hollywood Park. Excuse me, All In Casino. "Dr. Pennington, you've lost, you have to leave now." LOLHighly recommended.
