Merby 3
Thanks to my tournament success this past week, I was able to return to 2/4 after a year's hiatus. Let me just say that I was happy to find a lot of fish swimming up at this level too.
Merby 3
My mistake in this hand was betting too much on the flop. It didn't matter, but I meant to bet just under half the stack of UTG so that I could reraise if UTG moved in and MP called...I was surprised and happy to see that UTG had a wide PF raising range and was willing to felt on top two versus a preflop 3-bettor on that board.PokerStars Pot-Limit Omaha High, $4 BB (6 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)saw flop|saw showdownUTG ($416.50)MP ($788.05)CO ($263.50)Button ($194)SB ($925.35)Hero ($588)Preflop: Hero is BB with Q, J, K, J. Merby 3
This guy was an agrodonk. Against most players, this 3-bet is -EV. Even against him, it's pretty sketchy, but he had really been pushing some tentative, trashy hands and giving away his money.PokerStars Pot-Limit Omaha High, $4 BB (6 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)saw flop|saw showdownMP ($79.90)CO ($706.90)Button ($229.85)SB ($204.05)Hero ($1319.95)UTG ($346.65)Preflop: Hero is BB with 9, J, 7, 7. 1 fold, MP raises to $14, 1 fold, Button calls $14, SB calls $12, Hero calls $10.Flop: ($56) 8, 4, 6(4 players)SB checks, Hero bets $32, MP folds, Button folds, SB raises to $84, Hero raises to $305.2, SB folds.Final Pot: $224Results in white below: No showdown. simo_8ball 1
New PokerEV screenshot released.Quoted from 2p2:"Here's the next screenshot, the hands tab with the shiny skin. There are a couple of things to add yet.The stats shown in the grid are configurable of course, and the regular replayer as shown in the OP is still available (it's had improvements too). The skin doesn't come with the tracker, it's Gregg777's full tilt mod, but you can mod the replayer yourself to look just like this.In case you play omaha and you're wondering, the bold represents the primary suited card(s). Two bolds = double suited, 3 or more = triple suited or quad suited. Not sure what I'm going to show tomorrow, there's a week and a half to go until release and I want to keep the fear inducing stuff for the last 4-5 days. iggymcfly 0
:(What was the $7k coinflip at hand ~1930?That was my chance for a big get-even pot, it was a little over $10K actually. BigLebowski 0
That was my chance for a big get-even pot, it was a little over $10K actually. Had QQJT vs. what appeared to be two obvious AA hands and decided to shove.http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showthread.php?t=248081 I know it's the worst thing to think, but I don't make this call when I am down. When I am up I try to pour it on. The equity was so razor thin, this is the type of hand that would send me over the edge when I lost....and it really shouldn't have. It would make me think I was chasing my losses and not making good decisions....even though I might have had very slight +EV. I would give up my 12.5BB's and keep my peace of mind.
iggymcfly 0
Meh, being down actually made me want to push more. I did weigh my options carefully first, and I do think it was slightly +EV given the range I put them on, but I really really wanted to roll the dice there and have a chance to get even. Being down 11K or down 15K doesn't really feel like that much of a difference to me, and as you can see, I quit my session shortly thereafter.
