Brutal Rake On Stars Hu Tables

Recommended Posts

I've been giving the HU limit hold'em tables a go and don't know if you can beat this game at 1-2 or 2-4 limits.Even a $2 pot at 1-2 is raked $0.20I played 140 hands at a 1-2LH table today, we both started with $40 and ended with stacks of $41 for me and $25 for him.Are other sites with HU tables like this?

When FCP had a room, their HU rake was unreal. I remember playing sessions with people where we only played 100 hands or so and would both be down a few big bets. I basically gave up LHE cash after that experience. I'm not sure if its any better at the other sites.

Don't buy in short stacked?
What does that have to do with the rake?I think Stars has the same rake structure as FTP at the .50/1 HU tables. Last week it cost about $8 for 60 hands. I personally think this is excessive.

When you buy in shortstacked and you play people that buy in shortstacked, with the amount of the rake you aren't really going to profit.

uh.this is a joke right? whether you sit with 20 BB or 200 BB, the rake% has the same effect on your bb/100.

The rake at heads up limit holdem can add up very fast mainly due to the very high number of hands that are played in a short period of time.If you want to play heads up at anything less than probably 3/6 limit you should find a heads up sit and go and play that. When we had a site the greatest rake earners for FCP were the heads up players playing from 5/10 to 25/50 limit and they were also some of the largest winners as a superior heads up player has a large edge although they will experience large swings.

I was playing some .25/.5 NL HU and realized this, my opponent was up like 10 cents and I was down a buck. I find playing HU very fun and interesting but with barely any money online it obviously might not be the smartest thing to play with such high rake.

That's great if you play high but they rake that same rake at lower limits is a killer.Right now with the tables still a new thing there are a good amount of noobs trying it out making it so-so
