simo_8ball 0
Instafold. As the chip leader you shouldn't call off half your stack with a small pair given relatively poor pot odds.Change 55 to JJ and it's a closer decision.
staggo 0
Why would you consider calling?
Bubba83 0
Okay, so maybe that decision wasn't a big deal, yes, I folded, and actually the SB showed me AA. On to the next hand, infact, the VERY next hand.Table 2 - 250/500 - No Limit Hold'em - 4:05:36 ET - 2007/08/04Seat 1: wendyholic (515) Seat 2: JakeStr8 (4,160) Seat 3: justint555 (1,795) Seat 4: Zauberhand64 (1,575) Seat 5: guittarrzan (3,430) Seat 6: Bubba83 (6,285)Seat 7: GrizzKid (3,100) Seat 9: shawnb85 (6,140) Bubba83 posts the small blind of 250GrizzKid posts the big blind of 500The button is in seat #5Hero is dealt: T T 1 fold. AAsnake88 0
Fold both. There are so many poor players in these that 5k at the final table is usally enough to just ride out to the final 5. If I'm putting money in the pot, I'm pushing it in, not calling.
Skittles 0
Seat 3: justint555 (1,795) Seat 4: Zauberhand64 (1,575)I call because it's likely ZeeJustin is dumping chips to one of his accounts.
hank213 1,823
Since the top 5 spots all get paid the same (at least that's how I read it) there is no need to "go for the win." Meaning there is no real need to go all-in or call for most of your stack in marginal situations. It seems that the strategy here should be to grind it out, let the desperate players bust out, and squeak into the top 5 (or 6th if you'd rather have the 14 cash).
