That's him. He's home with a hole through him that missed vital organs (though how, I don't know from the way it looks he should be bleeding from a kidney or something) and a pretty messed up face and body from the beating. He asked me to post the link, as him, in the bad beat forum.

Well? What the hell did you say to them? haha
We haven't gone over the actual conversation in detail yet. Just the major sequence of events. He's asleep now, I'll ask him later.

Getting quietly beat into jello would have been a much more prudent course of action in retrospect. They kicked the crap out of my friends. Then the one guy went upstairs where the lady of the house was sleeping. Then they stole all of my money. Then they beat me. So I just broke. **** it. You have a gun, but **** it. I said, "You're not taking the money." (which turns out not to be entirely true). And I grabbed hold of him. Then I said, "You don't want to shoot me." (Which turns out not to be entirely true.) "Get out." ??(Further pistol whipping ensued. And then some wrestling.)"You might have to shoot me." (Which turns out not to be an entirely good suggestion.)(More wrestling.)"I could use some help here." Somewhere in this part he fired two shots, one of which went through my side. I had too much adrenaline to feel any pain, though, and I really didn't even remember the bullet hitting. I wasn't aware of it at the time, but we were moving toward the front door. I think (now) he wanted to just get out at this point. I tackled him at the doorway and then he ran out. I was left holding his shoe. I ran to the neighbors', rang the bell, and yelled for them to call the police. One of the other players came to the door, too. I said, "I think I might have been shot." He confirmed and held onto the entrance wound while we stood on the porch. Then I lay down and bled awhile. So, I don't think anything I said here was the problem for him.I note in retrospect that he restrained on at least one occasion from killing me when he had an opportunity. So I'm glad that he was not completely evil and sadistic, or at least was intelligent enough consider the possible punishments.

Wow, people need to stop shooting each other. That's just crazy. Hope he's ok and all his holes heal.
The docs seem to think he'll be pretty much better inside of a week.

Not much you can do for a clean in/out hole with no vitals hit. Where was he hit? Just through a fatty deposit? hip? ass?Battlefield dressing is just plug the holes, keep it clean, morphine for pain, and back to the docs you go.

He was hit in the side and it exited though his back, close to the middle of his back.
Well, thank god just fat got hit. i don't like so see those last 4 words. he'll be fine. but make him do what the docs tell him.And make an appt with his primary care doc, he'll do more for you and can get any specialists involved quicker.

Good Lord.Norm says, "Never leave the boat." Who knew this included playing poker. Speedy recovery and be patient with Kristen when she finally gets mad at you for risking your life over a poker game. Now for the biggest understatement of the day:I'm glad you're not dead.

The triage nurse acted like I was out of line for requesting this. I told her I am NOT a wound care specialist or an RN and I wanted a doctor to take a look at the bullet holes after I have been taking care of them for a few days to insure they are healing up properly. I called Erica in Vegas (RN and Wound care specialist) and asked her what to do because his discharge papers were very seriously lacking in my non-medical opinion. She gave me a list of stuff to get and hopefully he doesn't get an infection.

Yeah, right now I'm still in auto-pilot mode. I haven't been to bed yet.
