Calling All Pittsburgh Area Poker Players

Recommended Posts

I've noticed that there are several FCP players in the Pittsburgh area and was wondering if any of you would want to try and get a local game together this coming weekend. Just let me know if your interested and if you have any ideas for a venue and limits/gametypes.

On 2 plus 2 they were talking about setting up a night at Wheeling Island to where people would meet and play there at whatever limit or game(s) they wanted spread.
Link?I cannot wait til June when I can go to Wheeling. They're super strict right now since it's brand new.

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showthread.php?t=38595This is a review of the room, as well as some players talking about having a game spread for them. Yes they are very strict right now, but they are the same way at Mountaineer. Im there almost daily but i still have to stop at security let them fill out a form and get a wristband every single day. I just moved to the area recently when they opened to deal. If you have any questions about the place i can fill ya in.

I went to Mountaineer Casino last weekend just for a day... had a good time. I did not play poker, was running good in black jack haha, but i did check out there poker room. It is in a separate building than the rest of the casino so I had to ask some ppl where it was. You pretty much have to drive a quarter mile down behind the race track. I liked the atmosphere in the room and there were a ton of tables. I saw that they are going to start holding tournaments on dec 27th and they will have one each day after that. I plan on going back soon and just play poker. BTW the blackjack deals are sooooo slow and they screw up often since they are new so if you know what your doing its pretty easy to make some money... the dealer forgot to give herself a 2nd card multiple times so they give you the option to take your bet back or leave it out there, so if she was showing a 10 or ace i would take my bet back if i didnt have atleast 20, and if you busted they gave you your bet back. i recommend hitting up the blackjack tables, atleast while the dealers are inexperienced.
