Merby 3
Hey guys, I booked a session last night for a small profit after taking a few days off to let my tilt die off. I'm still not sure about my confidence and mindset, so here is the first of a few hands I will post to double-check my NLHE strategy. We'll start off easy:Villain: 19/17 through 115 hands. The only other time I looked up his PF 3-bet, he had AAQuestion: are we deep stacked enough to set mine OOP?PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (4 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)Hero ($440.55)Button ($376.20)SB ($302.05)BB ($115.65)Preflop: Hero is UTG with 2, 2. aucu 3
Implied odds are good enough to fish for a set here.
tskillz187 0
Agree. If I hit my set though I'm going to either lead and hope he raises to stick him, or just check call, I think a big C/R on flop is too transparent for this TAG.
Zelphade 0
Being that you are playing both shorthanded and deepstacked i think u should call and try to hit your set. The villan could just have like ace king or a mid pair. IF the flop comes high u might try and bet and win the pot right there. He will assume that u called with a hand like ak aq , etc.... NoBBiR 0
Yes, deep enough. What are you going to do if ANY paint hits the flop? Fold lol?If you call pre and brick a 2, then it's an insta muck. You want him to have AA and KK here all day because he's stacking you when the flop comes 2 9 J. Implied odds > you.
Merby 3
It was a long, tough session, so I just wanted to make sure my line of thinking was still reasonable and I wasn't spewing chips.I called, the flop was a very ugly 8 9 T and I check-folded to a $38 bet.
