Sendachi 0
Hey, guru's. Please tell me how I could have seen this coming.Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Sendachi (6 max, 6 handed) converterMP ($102.97)CO ($54.6)Button ($19.4)SB ($22.4)Sendachi ($18)UTG ($24.25)Preflop: Sendachi is BB with [Kd], [Kh]. SB posts a blind of $0.1. 1 fold, MP calls $2, SB calls $2.Flop: ($9) [8s], [Jc], [3s] (3 players)SB checks, Sendachi bets $5, MP calls $5, SB calls $5.Turn: ($24) [Ks] (3 players)River: ($24) [6c] (3 players)Final Pot: $24Results in white below: SB doesn't show. Sendachi has Kd Kh (three of a kind, kings). MP has Js Ts (flush, king high). Outcome: MP wins $24. For some reason this converted hand isn't showing that I went all in on turn for $10, but that's what I did. I don't know if I'm in denial, but in rethinking it I don't see how I put him on this hand.Do I just always fold top set with flush on board? Do I check/fold? These don't seem like good options. I think I was just unlucky to run against a big stack who felt like gambling on flop, but any insight would be very appreciated. Thanks!
Vade 0
First, you HAVE to raise more preflopMaybe you can get the J10 to foldBet more on the flop. You have an overpair on a flop with a lot of draws, push the rest of your chips and make him draw without proper pot odds
Nutcracker 0
If I'm reading that right, the blinds are .05/.10. So MP raises it 10 times the bb and the sb calls.. I'd be tempted to toss in a $4 reraise or so ($5 total), with the intention of putting in all my chips on the flop as long as an A doesn't show up. Seeing as how MP loved JTs enough to raise it 10Xbb preflop, you probably wouldn't get him to go away, and he had top pair with the flush draw on the flop. You definately aren't getting him to go away after that. Just bad luck. If I had played it like you did to the turn, you can bet your ass I'd get the rest of my chips in with top set. akishore 0
the blinds aren't 0.05/0.10, they're 0.10/0.25.the pre-flop raise is fine. i myself would have raised to $4, but telling him his raise to $3 is small is nitpicky. you don't want to overbet the pot.the OP played it perfectly.it was just unlucky.aseem
Sendachi 0
Thanks for the feedback guys. The blinds were indeed .10/.25 and a standard raise for premium hand was between $1 - $2. I can accept that I was unlucky. I just wanted some fresh eyes to look and see if I made an obvious mistake that was going to cost me in the future. Thanks again.
Scott3705 0
I think most people would disagreee with me, but with 3 way action, I may have bet the pot, or overbet the pot on the flop. May leave me open for JJ to take me down, but i'm probably paying off JJ here anyway.
Jubba 0
First, you HAVE to raise more preflopMaybe you can get the J10 to foldDoubt it. Trying to get a low limit player to fold J10s is like trying to get someone to fold AA. I think he could have gone all in on the flop and the J-10 would have called...
