Wsop Main Event Final Table Rail Thread

I disagree. He made some irrational and terrible plays in the opening, but, I can see very few mistakes that he made after JT calling all in against AT. I think Moneymaker was worse. And, as his final table interview is going on..I'm glad he won.
What about that huge call he made with KQ against Kravchenko's 33. At best he is in a race and in danger of doubling up probably the best player at the table at that time to a level where he can play with Jerry.

Maybe they should crown God the 2007 poker champion, since this guy just gave "all the credit" to God. If this Yang fellow is just a vessel, maybe he doesn't deserve any accolades.

Guy had three people double up through him, and he was still the chip leader by 5 million--for about 5 minutes before he moved it up to a 15mil chip lead again. He did fine for himself.

I'm still not sure whether I envy him for his faith and the modesty with which he approaches this win or whether I think it's creepy to believe that God is sending you poker cards...

I'm not a huge Gold fan, but he would've easily been the best player of the final seven.
I think Kravchenko is better. I actually meant in terms of image for the game though, both Raymer and Hachem seem like fairly likeable guys (outside of Hachem's whining at times), and both were fairly active on the tournament trail. Gold seems to come off as likeable to a lot of the pros I guess, but with his combination of poor table ethics last year and the whole 50% deal I don't think he as champ was good for the game.

No, not in the least. I'm not a believer, but, I can certainly appreciate when a man believes in something greater than himself.
Neither am I, but at least he is being sincere, very rare in this selfish world of poker players.

I dont disagree with religon or anything, what I disagree with is that from I watched he was only praying when he is ahead and he was praying for the money so he could glorify gds name.

I wish Norman would ask him about Lee Childs' QQ hand. I have a side bet on that one.

Man, this guy drove me crazy and now he's gonna go ahead and make me like him with this great interview.By the way, anyone else watch the entire final table? I've been watching since 3PM EST. :club:
I watched the whole table, and for me it started at 9PM and right now it's 1PM and I really need to go to bed :D

Dude was praying and screaming out to Christ every time he was all in, ahead or behind. I'm confused by what bothers you, so, I guess we'll just call it a push.
