Degen gambling weekend, whoop!Sit down anywhere. If the game isn't juicy, stand up and move on. There's only 6 million poker tables in that town.Best bet is MGM.
grocery_mony 8
1/2 is juicy everywhere except locals casinos. Play where its most comfortable. I recomend the Venetian or the MGM. Wynn's room is also exceptional for 1/3 but there seems to be more local rocks than most strip rooms and no cap makes the standard 100bb buy in actually bellow average stack. Have fun!!!!!!!! I cant wait till October.

Lots of locals and the "tourists" were for the most part at least competent. PH is the new favored spot for semi-decent cheap ($60) tourneys and is reported to have good juicy cash games as well. sdc12303 0
Caesers or MGM are my favorites. Best time at Caesers is weekends right when everybody is leaving the nightclub Pure which is right by the poker room. You get lots of drunks who move cash like they're allergic to it. MGM gets lots of young kids who think they're much better than they are and will give you all their money.

ColeSLaw 0
I like the Pure stalking idea and I'll be sure to hit up the MGM. I'm pretty non-descript, but I'll be one of the brazillion mid 20s white male, short hair, wearing glasses (not shades) and mostly likely a black Amnesty International t-shirt or Brown Nitinaht Lake shirt if anyone wants to destroy their internet anonymity over a hand or drink. Lots of locals and the "tourists" were for the most part at least competent. PH is the new favored spot for semi-decent cheap ($60) tourneys and is reported to have good juicy cash games as well.PH is good structure ($4000 in chips with 20 minute blinds), but I was cold-decked the whole way. Competent players, but no one great. Run these at 10am, 2pm, 7pm and 2am.Excalibur has $35 buyins at 9am, 11am and 1pm, but you only get $300 chips, blinds start at 5/10 and double every 15 minutes. Total donkfest/speedfest, which is probably why I final tabled it and took 4th for $105. The juice is higher than avg. in this one.Luxor is a $33 buyin for $1200 in chips. Blinds start 25/50 and go up every 15. Another high-juice donkfest, mostly horrible play, which is probably why I FT'd that one too and took 3rd for $147 (first was $426). 9am, noon, 4pm, 8:30pm and midnight. Buyins are $30, $50 or $62 depending on time (later = more). They also run $62 10-man SNGs anytime they get 10, but the juice seemed high on this, as I THINK I heard them announce that they pay $350 to winner and $150 to 2nd (which would be equivalent to a $50+12 vs. an online $50+5). Best one was Harrah's noon tourney (CaneBrain rec'd it and we both played it). $90, good starting chips (I think $3000 for full buyin) and slower blind structure. Weak-to-pretty-tough competition. I FT'd it but no cash (first was over $1700) and got a great 3+ hour live-play learning experience. I recommend this one for longer, more serious play and probably the Luxor for a 2-hour max "fun" tourney.Good luck and hope this helps.
