I can't believe this is a set or two pair, and if he has air then raising or calling are the same.
I've seen people make more idiotic plays with sets/two pairs. I don't think he has one here but I still think there is a chance (probably around 5%) that he does and that should somewhat influence our decision.

I agree with Simo that we could even get a small flush to fold with a push, so we lose a bit of value from those types of hands.
Are you kidding me? Villian fold a flush with 70ish left gettn better that 3:1. Crazyness.I'm torn between a push and a call. I am also having a tough time with what villian is putting us on. I don't think he can put us on the flush and then he is supposed to open limp the CO with Axh. I don't buy it so I lean towards a push.

I'm willing to give you 5% of a non-flush. Additionally, I put nut flush at 70% and smaller flush at 25%. And actually, just eyeballing that...surprisingly, this might be a fold. We've got to call $100 to win $147...so we need to win this pot about 40% of the time to break even. It still feels extremely weak to fold in this situation, and my percentages might be off, but I think he's better than 50% to have the nuts here...which means we can call, but we probably shouldn't be putting more money into the pot.I've done my best to not let results influence me here and tried to make a decision on the spot weighing these factors (though obviously not exactly). I felt there was a pretty decent chance he had the nut flush and elected to just call. He flipped Ah8h to take the pot.

I don't play much short handed... is CO really open limping an ace here?
Yes...this is actually a surprisingly frequent tactic. "Ohh...I've got an ace...I should play...I saw people in the WSOP ME FT last year open-limp from LP a lot, so that must make it a good play...*limp*"Open-limps in that spot are very frequently Ax, small pairs, or middle connectors. As I played with the guy for a while, I found out that he basically loved to overbet/shove any time he had a straight or better. He was slightly more complex than that...initially he'd min-donkbet stuff like sets, get people to come over the top, and then shove. He was very passive with any draws and he played 90% of his hands pre-flop...usually open-limping. Once I figured out these patterns, it made playing him pretty easy.

Also, I think it's highly unlikely that he's putting almost his whole stack in, overbetting the pot THAT much without a flush. I stick by my percentages :club:Hmm, this meatloaf is shallow and pedantic
Funniest show ever. :D

Sometimes. People will open limp weaker aces or play mid aces more passively to hide strength. Or they will play suited weak/mid aces like drawing hands.

I guess I was. I didn't realize he had so little behind. I should pay more attention when I post. But I stand behind that he has the nut flush a LOT of the time here.
