Villain is a solid loose player.Because of the bold; I call. But, to me, "loose" might mean he'd push a big draw--pair + FD, straight draw + FD, in this spot.
Zach6668 513
Any reason for being so short preflop?Pretty easy call, btw.The only hand we're behind here is 22.

Zach6668 513
Wouldn't JJ raise pre?
DrawingDeadInDM 0
Wouldn't JJ raise pre?You would think so, but, I've seen people do odd things with JJ. "I only play it for set value."I guess, this is one of those things I've struggled with, more and more lately. As the games thin out and get much more, eh, nittier, it seems to me that people are doing these types of things. I don't laydown QJ here, but, I'm not absolutely shocked if it's JJ+, even.Edit: My experience though, is as always, live.
Zach6668 513
Yeah, I could see it being JJ a bit, if he's a nit.
simo_8ball 1
I think you've written the action in wrong. BB cant raise to 4x his stack.I'd raise preflop. I think you are missing value by just limping.I fold this flop approximately never. You are beaten by precisely one hand, 22. He could have Q2/J2/QJ/Tc9c/etc.
DrawingDeadInDM 0
Yeah, I could see it being JJ a bit, if he's a nit.I guess since the OP said he was loose, it's not JJ, but, yeah..just throwing it out there, more than anything.

whiterice714 0
Results:Hero calls, villain shows 2-2 and the turn/river brick.my immediate reaction to this hand was that he had ducks... the exact same thing happened to me on a trip to vegas about a month ago... 1/2 nl had A Ks UTG & made it $12 to go... BRAND NEW guy to my immediate left calls, *EDIT--playing @ the paris... [too hung over too go anywhere but downstairs lolz] he bought in for the max: $300, i had somewhere in the range of 120-130* LP calls, BB completes..flop2h As Khi lead for $40guy to my left flat calls, folds around...turn 3si shovel (something like $70 more)he counts it out, thinks for about 20 seconds, & calls...i ask him if he's drawing & he says no.... immediately i know where i'm @ and ask "gotta set?" sure enough he flips over the 2d 2c over & i brick the river...only difference is i was OOP...what can ya do, that's poker... i'd most likely stack off in this situation & as has been stated above - you're only behind one hand... RhinestoneCowboy 2
I was thrown off at first thinking the BB bet and then reraised all in after your bet. With the action going SB checks, BB bets, you raise, and SB check-raises all in, it makes it slightly less impossible to get away from the hand.I probably still get stacked.
