Turn card sucks so I check, he bets and I call, Im not convinced he has anything yet. I check the river again trying to act like im slowplaying a flush and hoping he'll check behind. He bets about half and Im really torn here..the only thing im beating is QJ or a bluff.

sabes99 0
raise pf for sureflop play is okby checking the turn after putting in the third bet on the flop, you show either incredible strength or incredible weakness, and then he pounced...if you're even going to check, you've gotta seriously consider abandoning ship now
Lavitz 0
Not putting in that reraise on flop. If a non spade 10 comes do we still think we're good? I really don't like trying to make this pot bigger then it has to be.I think turn is a clear fold.

pokerinc 0
why so passive on the turn?
NoBBiR 0
You have to think about what you're going to do depending on what falls on the turn. If its a safe card what would you be betting? If it is a spade, are you just shutting down? If it is the 10 or 8 of spades (which are probably the worst cards in the deck for you) are you just check/folding? If you are going to raise the flop, you have to pump it up a lot to let him know you mean business. If you don't like that, then you should be calling his flop raise and seeing what the turn card brings. It keeps the pot small and prevents you from dumping a bad turn card after putting in a big flop raise.
