Syntonic 0
Heya,Over the past month or so I've built up $15 to ~240 mostly playing 0.10/0.25 tables, and although this definitely has been profitable for me, I would like to move up in stakes at some point, without blowing everything in one buy-in. If I worked up to 2k is that enough for 1/2 NL? I consider myself a slightly above average player, and from what I've played in the 1/2 games online, it's more competitive, and for the most part, better players compared to the micro stakes. Any suggestions on bankroll management? Thanks.

I've played 1/2 successfully starting only with $100 before. So with a BR of 2K, I think you're more than fine.
Zach6668 513
You need 4-5k to play 1/2 NL online. At least.More if it's shorthanded.
Royal_Tour 0
I think a few factors.zach touched a bit, but will this be short handed? what about multi tabling?Do you have a good sample of the games you will be playing? If you are a very strong 1/2 player, and you are definitely better than your competition at that site, or casino, than i'd think 2k is plenty. otherwise, anything near 4k would be ideal. Zach6668 513
Multitabling doesn't affect anything... do u c y?
pokerplayer24 0
Multitabling doesn't affect anything... do u c y?But if you plan on 6 tabling you probably need more then 10 buyins online.
Zach6668 513
But if you plan on 6 tabling you probably need more then 10 buyins online.Well, you should have more than 10 buyins in your "bankroll".What you have online is up to you, and yes, obv you should have enough to play as many tables as you'd like to. Lavitz 0
2-3K is super standard for 1/2NL. Just be prepared to move down if you encounter a sick downswing.20 buy-ins is pretty standard if you're flexible enough to move down and not stubborn when it is obvious you are over your head at any given limit.Bankroll nits might tell you 40-50 buyins but I would only suggest this if you're playing heads up mainly. More variance.

It can happen believe me!
