All I know is the table has been fairly tight and I was lucky to even get a call preflop here. Flop looks pretty safe, and he raises me, the only hand I'm really thinking he has is a set here, so I decide to reraise and see what he does. He just flat calls which sounds like a set to me. Should I just shove instead of reraising and if he has a set thats just poker? Going with the line I played, do I just check call the turn?
Zach6668 513
Flop bet is too small, unless you were trying to enduce a raise.
Zach6668 513
Also, as played, shove the turn.

crankin 0
Have you established an image? That would help a lot. If you've been raising a lot of hands and getting no action, then the villain's range opens up quite a bit. If the table is as tight as you say (and you haven't been too aggressive pre-flop), then button seems more likely to have a real hand.Personally, I don't like the re-raise on the flop. To me, if you're going to raise on the flop, you might as well push. As played, if you check and he pushes, you're getting like 2.1:1, which would be hard not to call, so, as played, you might as well push the turn.I think I'd rather call the flop raise and check the turn to see what he does. Or maybe lead out for 1/2 pot and see how he responds. If he raises again, you can fold and will have spent less than what you did on the raise. If he hasn't hit his set, he's likely got an overpair, as their are basically no realistic draws on board. Of the possible overpairs, you're getting better than the 2.1:1 you need to put your remaining money in.Again, if you've established any kind of image that would be a big factor. sabes99 0
once you've re-raised on the flop, it's practically impossible to check the turn...as played, i think you're just about forced to push, if for no other reason than to back up the re-raise on the flop
sennin 0
crankin: i wasnt raising a whole lot preflop, I was pretty much just playing tight. Thanks for the input guys, I'll just shove the flop next time lol. Here's the rest of the handTurn: ($38.75) K (2 players)Hero checks, Button bets $4, Hero calls $4.River: ($46.75) 6 (2 players)Hero checks, Button bets $4.5, Hero calls $4.50.Final Pot: $55.75Hero has As Ac (one pair, aces). Button has Kh Ks (three of a kind, kings). Outcome: Button wins $55.75. His bet was so small on the turn that I felt he had a big hand, but I just called to see what he had, and obv hope to catch an A. Just unlucky I guess

Zach6668 513
I'm pretty sure you should never bet/3-bet the flop and check the turn unless you're trying to induce a bet so you can shove.
whiterice714 0
nothing you can do bout that one... he was calling your shove on the flop or the turn the way the cards fell...otherwise he was stackin off to you..
NoBBiR 0
Also, as played, shove the turn. His bet on the turn almost gave you odds to draw to your 2 outer rofl.3x preflop with Aces, why? Even if the table is tight, make a good solid raise. You either get the blinds, or get more money in the pot with the preflop nuts - Either way you win. When you make that kind of flop raise, and then he just smooth calls you pretty much have to stack him on the turn regardless of what falls. If he flopped a set, I don't know why he wouldnt reraise you on the flop because it certainly looks like you don't intend to fold. Just get it in there on the turn. I hate giving up the lead
