High Stakes Seaosn 4 By Michael Craig

HSP is a TV show. They have to make it something that people will watch and even the most poker crazed people in the world won't watch a show were a bunch of silent nits play awesome poker. I like his online pros vs live pros proposal though. The live pros don't stand a chance playing HU vs the onliners though.

Yeah, I deserved that didn't I. I've not been on here as long as you, therefore I must be an idiot. Find me a source that disputes what I said about Chip being an all-rounder and not a particular specialist in a specific game and I'll be surprised.
Just busting your balls newb. :club: If that gets your panties in a twist you better not ever read anything that Ron Mexico responds to. But in all seriousness, I'm not saying Chip isn't very good, you're just speaking like you're a Vegas pro and you know how it all is. In the last $50K HORSE event, Andy Bloch was much more deserving of the win than Chip IMO. I'll take Ivey over Chip any day.

I misworded my response, but the main point I was trying to make is that Chip is seen as a great all round player, rather than a Stud specialist as such. Also, I don't disagree with the talents of Ivey, but I don't think any of us have seen Chip play a great deal, and I'm going on the word I've read from a lot of the top Vegas pros.Didn't twist my panties, I just thought being new (to this particular forum) shouldn't mean my opinions should be insta-**** on, so to speak.
how does Jamie Gold buy in for half a million, I thought he was going to give all his winnings to his dad......BS liar pos
He had to give half of his winnings in some contract he had before the WSOP, he said he was going to use the winnings to HELP his Dad, who was suffering from Lou Gehrig's disease. His father has since passed away. He hasn't been the bets ambassador for poker but I think he can be cut a little slack for putting 500k up to play.

One thing I've always wanted to know is why Chip has never played on here? From what I've read he's quite a good talker at the table, and is obviously a great player. Good to see Hellmuth back, and hilarious that Gold thinks he can compete with Hellmuth in NLHE..
Didn't his wife write an article for FT saying how they don't play much high stakes anymore. They were tired of all the traveling and wanted to slow down and raise their family or something. I believe it said they only play 2/5 5/10 and 10/20 where their advantage is huge and they can make a pretty standard income.

Yeah that would be Chip Jett. We're talking about Chip Reese.

LOl @ Jaime Goldman, him playing that table, is like party poker coming back and opening its doors for everyone to play.
I respect any man willing to donate back into the poker community. It's a shame the first $6 million was a dead-weight loss tho.

That's one of the funniest things I've ever read on this forum.

Didn't Doyle say that if he had to back one player to play for the lives of his family, it would be Chip?
