How would it be served?The announcers said something strange after the goal which didnt make sense to me. I think it was Garrett, he said that they had changed the rule about the puck having to progress forward, that side to side was ok? Didnt anyone else hear this? Im not entirely certain of the rule, but that didnt look like interference to me. Even looked like he stopped in front of the crease. Link to post Share on other sites

Look again.Well, I'd have to watch it again to be sure, but from what I saw when I watched the replay last night, it still had some forward motion, and I was actually even looking for it.I've been wrong before, though. The first time they made any real contact was when Shannon got punched. Is that the goalie interference you are referring to, Shannon interfering with Khabibulins fist? . Khabibulin was beat before Shannon crashed into him.Also, as has been mentioned, Khabibulin initiated the contact more than Shannon.If I had the motivation, I could find all sorts of goals where the shooter and goalie end up making contact at the end of a shot. Both Lou and Habby were getting bumped all game and Habby was just sick of it. Both goalies played great though and it was a very fun game to watch. I loved Barker's "lob" goal.
