So I'm thinking that this will be the year that an established pro will take back the WSOP Main Event, so I was thinking about which pro is most likely to do it. John Hennigan has my vote, he took down his first WPT Title this year and is one of the most feared and respected poker players in the world. I'm thinking he has the tools to wade through the minefield. Opinions? Who's your guy? Obviously this is just for amusement's sake since there's no predicting anything accurately, but what the hell, I'm bored.

JC Tran...JC Alvarado....or Huck Seedweeeeeeeeeee$10 says 4-1 that one of them cashes
Both Jcs are sickos....wouldn't surprise me a bit to see either one of them take it down.I think if I had to pick just one pro though it would be Allen Cunningham. The guy just seems to be money at the WSOP

Not sure who will win it but I expect Allen Cunningham, Joe Hachem and at least one FCPer (not counting DN) at the final table - or at least in the final 30 or so.

From a psychological standpoint, I wonder if the pros actually hold a slight edge in the latter stages simply because the money is secondary to playing well and making good decisions. It's hard to win dozens of coinflips, and players like Hellmuth and Cunningham have proven that the ability to amass chips without constant AIPF confrontations can tilt the odds in your favor slightly. Of course, slightly doesn't wade you through 8,000 players. You can actually argue that with Hachem's WPT title and taking 2nd to Dutch Boyd at a Bracelet last year, coupled with Raymer's two 7 card stud final tables has proven that 2004 and 2005 MEs weren't won by nobodys. They were won by up and coming pros. With that said, picking the ME winner is like staring at a casino wall of video poker players and pointing to the guy in the Hawaiin shirt and saying "He's cashing out huge tonight!". You are going to have run real good for over a freaking week.Put me down for Lindgren. If anyone is long, long overdue for some WSOP success it's him. If Lindgren wins a bracelet tomorrow, then give me Johnny Chan. Just for the image of Phil's face as Chan ties him for 11 with a ME bracelet. That thought makes me too warm and fuzzy inside, screw Lindgren, gimme Chan.

Phil Ivey, Helmuth or DN on the final table.I actually think Jamie Gold is going to bust out in the first level - he will suffer from the "don't you know who I am?" fancy play to early problem.

I would love to see Cunningham take it down. A great player with a great attitude.

Daniel or Helmuth, I really think though, with as many players as there are going to be (not as many as last year) that you'll have to play 100% perfect poker and get very lucky.
