It is basically a "league" that i played in last year that sort of never started up again. it originally only had maybe 15-20 people that participated at the start of 2006 and by the summer there were 60?!? Although not all 60 played at each event, I think the most at one tournament was 30ish...The tournaments were held once a month and they would have a $20 buy-in and afterwards a $40 buy-in. Each tourney had a decent prize pool and you could also earn points for the leaderboard. At the end of the season there is a "Championship" event which consists of the top 9 points leaders and the winner of a SNG for the 10 seat. Prize money for the Championship event is built up by taking a small portion from each of the prior event prize pools plus the complete prize pool of the 10th seat SNG. I think last year there were 24 tournaments, 12 minors ($20 buy-in) and 12 majors ($40 buy-in), plus the Championship table. I am really trying to help get this going again and would love to be able to build it up and have some good, solid competition. So if anyone is willing to provide a place this a great league that needs to get running again...

i was thinking it's more in the 100-200 dollar range. i don't think i'm going to travel an hour or two to missisauga for a 20$ buy in though.

guys, i'm in newfoundland so i think the commute would be out of the question, but what about looking at a buy in that would allow you to reward the champion/winner with a WSOP buy in......$1500/$2500/$5000 or even main event.

I live about 20 minutes from missisauga and i might be able to host **** depending on what the rules are for the rec room in my building.I move in tomorrow, so ill find out soon after.
I know from past experience most buildings do not enjoy 20 or so people playing cards on a consistent basis, however, please do check and see if they would mind you never know...
