mark_999 0
So i'm playing in a 1/2 game at my B&M casino and this hand came up.I'm in mid pos with AJ clubs and just decide to limp. Mid position limps as well and SB folds and BB checks. ( all 3 of us had at least 150 + in chips)Flop comes A 10 7 with 2 diamonds1st guy leads out for 7$, Then the BB smooth calls , and it comes back to me and i make it 20 to go.1st guy folds, then The BB re-raises 40$ more on top of my 20.I thought and thought, and eventually mucked it putting him on 2 pair.Considering his call re-raise, What would you have done here? called and seen the turn, re-raised or folded. Him smooth calling and then re-raising seemed pretty strong to me.Any advice/comments would be appreciated. Thanks.
ibuddy 0
well sounds like A7 or diamond draw, maybe even 89 diamonds. Push all in see what happens
Dazzler69 0
I'd have probably folded as well, 2 pair is what I would put him on. If you call on the flop you have to consider how likely it is that the turn will help you out. And if it doesnt you'd be faced with the same decision if the guy bets on the turn. timwakefield 68
You should post this hand in NLHE strategy.- Zach
Snamuh 0
Smooth call and then min-reraise is generally a very strong line, usually a set. He wants to keep you in the hand and is trying to get you to invest more. I fold.

AJ is actually a much better hand live, than it is online. considering most people wil play any ace at a 1/2 table live.plus you're suited, not that it sould matter much, but its very easy to let go of this hand post flop if u dont like the board and the players involved and there is lots of betting taking place.I'd raise it up prelfop. re-evaluate post flop depending how many players and who is acting ahead or behind me. gsxraddict 0
don't ever go broke in an unraised pot....folding was the right play..
Actuary 3
don't ever go broke in an unraised pot....folding was the right play..isn't that too general of a rule?
simo_8ball 0
isn't that too general of a rule?I've heard:Never go broke in an unraised pot.Never go broke with a queen in your hand.Never go broke with one pair.Never go broke chasing a draw.and a few others I am forgetting.I think it should be generalised to 'never go broke'. That would work.

NoSup4U 0
This is almost always a fold.I would have just called on flop and evaluated turn. You're bloating the pot with top pair so so kicker, that usually isn't smart. Also raise pf.Mark
Acid_Knight 2
I agree with raising the pot to see what's up. Once the action happens as it does, this is always a fold unless you have a super solid read to know he's a maniac. Barring that read, your had is almost always worthless here. Scott3705 0
Raise preflop, Raise the flop to 25-30 and this is an easy fold.
