I Played This Stupidly

Recommended Posts

$100 freezout on stars, 3k starting chips. Villain is laggy, as anybody in their right mind would be with his stack. I didn't see how he acquired the stack. On the flop I assumed I was good, and decided that a smart play would be a weak lead, trying to induce a bluff. I'm very much trying to get my whole stack in here, but i should probably bet more, yes? If I push he's probably not calling with too many hands I beat. Then the death card hits...check fold? Villain could have any 2 reasonable cards, but could very easily have an ace. He will probably put you in with any two if you check,to call seems weak, and the other options are either to bet and be willing to fold or bet all in.The ace is a scare card, but with that huge stack im betting he is playing a wide range of hands, so you can't be sure he has an ace, although it is possible A-low kicker.I would check the turn, if he has an ace i will assume he wont bet now, so if he dose bet i will raise. If he checks after you, bet the river and fold to the raise - unless you get a read. The flop bet could have been larger, but it is quesionable if it would have made a diffrence to him with his stack.A Dax

you should bet more on the flop to protect your hand. it's good now but a ton of scarecards (like the A) can come on the turn. if he's going to bluff you i think he will do it regardless of how much you bet.
