Wow, in what way was I being donnish whatsoever? You admitted that it was a simple mistake... but you throw in a worthless insult to protect your feeble ego. Usually I have respect for you and I was just making sure you meant what you said, but censored you smash.Put the thesarus away before you hurt yourself any further.
i thought the same thingthats censoredng hilarious.there is a way someone with a vocabulary speaks."In what way was I being donnish whatsoever?" sounds like dictionary.com is open."How was I being donnish?" would sound like he might have a clue
absolute, you need to stop sucking on smash's nuts. its a feeble attempt to regain respect after he lost it all to you on that post about lindgren. lol and i'm not looking at a dictionary... i said donnish as a mock to me being pedantic. jesus.

lol wow. you're real weak man. it's borderline pathetic.Hi.I'm not the one who had to look up what "pedantic" meant and then instead of responding to it, used a synonym for it that made absolutely no sense in context at all.You really would have seemed much more educated if you'd asked me how you had been an orangutang. Now that's pathetic. Nowhere near the border.Get over it, move on, I write for a living, you can't possibly win.Stop embarassing yourself before it gets worse.

i said donnish as a mock to me being pedantic. jesus. No, you went to dictionary.com, looked up "pedantic" and say"donnish" as a sydonym then used it.Badly.Lying doesn't help your case any, and is stunningly transparent.Really. Stop.I'm embarassed for you at this point.

Irrelevant.Charles Dickens also wrote for a living.Yes, and someone who didn't would lose a written contest with him, too.I wouldn't expect to step into the ring with a professional boxer and win.Plus, you people are barely above average intelectually, so it's not like it's particularly challenging. On the plus side, for the most part you guys spell far better than I do.So you've got that going for you.

I guess being a writer doesn't give you much reading comprehension ability?Being a writer doesn't make you intelligent. Charles Dickens was technical and knowledgable of the craft, but it doesn't make him interesting. Italo Calvino is a good writer because he is intelligent and interesting, not vice versa. But you get this, being a writer and all.Don't you?

Being a writer doesn't make you intelligent. No, it just allows me to communicate far more effectively in a written format. The fact that I'm so much more intelligent than you is just a bonus.See what I mean about the not having a chance thing yet?

I think coming from anyone else this would be a somewhat funny little dig, but considering your track record of throwing in more synonyms than my moms apple donnishes...you might just want to challenge your thesaurus skills with all challengers.

I could dumb it down to 6th grade reading level, as if I were writing a novel, but I choose not to.

.....pssst.....I think it's synonymI know lying never helps anyones case...but making up fake components of the english language doesn't help either.and please don't say it was a typo....'cause the D is Dowhere Dear the N on a keyboard.

and please don't say it was a typoNope, I'm dyslexic, and hence a horrible speller, which I'm well aware of and choose not to give a fukc about.Good job ridiculing my disability, though. Maybe later, we can get someone in a wheelchair to post and you can make fun of his dancing. What do you say?

If you don't dumb it down a bit for the love of god, how ever in the world will you be able to properly teach us the error of our ways.Do you think a Kindergarten teacher is as intelligent as the topics they teach? No they "dumb" it down a bit in order to properly get thier offerings across. They certainly don't speak to them in Latin and Discuss Calculus equations in order for little Timmy to go "wow Teacher is way so Smart!!!"...that would be foolish wouldn't it?If you are ultra intelligent compared to the other FCP posters please dumb it down so we can learn from the stuff you have to say....if you are not, please check you ego and come play with the rest of us common folk....If you don't like common folk....why are you here?this is a forum for all ages, abilities, sexes, nationalities...not just a gathering for only elite poker minds who have nothing to learn.

I sorry but I am a new member - what is so special about Kurt (suited up)? Is he a member or something that made it to a WPT event?
he is a regular poster who won a seat into the $25k WPT championship by winning a freeroll on pokermountain.com
Thanks for the heads up guys.

You take a shot at someone's use of the english language by misusing the english language...I just found it ironic...you tell me it is because you are dyslexic. That may be true, but my friends brother has a lisp...yet he doesn't go around telling people they speak funny.Frankly if a guy in a wheelchair told me I was a useless dancer in a condicending manner...I would point out that he probably wasn't much of a "Fred Astaire" himself.Point is I can't dance worth sh!t and I can't spell worth Sh!t either....which is EXACTLY why I would never go out of my way to point out that flaw in someone else.

Anyone else think it's hilarious that after all the stupid 5th grade arguing, this guy is just happy that now he know who Suited Up is?Also, stop arguing with Smash. Every time this happens it just ends up with his last posts saying having nothing to do with the argument itself. It ALWAYS turns into, "Sorry, but you're wrong. Plus I am a better writer than you, and therefore superior."Just give up and move on. Sometimes he's right, sometimes he's wrong, but either way the argument always ends the same way. He's like Lucy holding the ball for Charlie Brown.

how did a thread about how a guy played at the WPT championship turn into an english lesson? enough with the flaming back and forth. I thought we were discussing how well (or badly) the guy played. I will go with the former. Bad situation and two good hands....someone has to lose. People shouldn't take it so personally. it's okay to critique someone's play but you have to do it with respect for someone who's done something we all wish we could.

I have...although your experiment tricked me into thinking your intentions were to pass on poker theory and knowlege. If it is the ridiculing part fair enough. I just don't see how valuable it is.

Isn't that exactly what you do pretty much 95% of the time? (Should I write in bigger letters, just to help ya out?)It all start with him correcting an obvius error you made. Your ego is that fragile, that you can't handle one single mistake? .

Well it's a toss up whether I want to try and get this derailed train back on track or let it die… but either way I want to add my opinion…Congratulations on getting there Suited_up, I think it's awesome and we were and are all behind you as fellow FCPers… that said, I agree with Smash on the fact that Kurt misplayed the hand, and I think everyone is confusing a realistic analysis of the hand as a lack of support or something for Suited. I don't think there was any problem with slow playing on this flop if that's the choice he made. Either being the aggressor here, or slow playing was the right play. But his play on the turn was a mistake, without the full details of the hand we don't know exactly what the action was pre-flop etc but Kurt chose the wrong place to push he most likely saw the ace and figured he needed to make his move now before things got worse… which they did, I'm not saying I wouldn't panic and try and salvage my nut hand by pushing on that 2nd ace, but from the POV of sound poker theory this push was a bad play. This doesn't mean he wasn't unlucky, it just means he had better options. If he just smooth calls here, he would've seen the last K and been able to muck anyways. The guy with A-9 had 10 outs (not 7 Smash), 1 ace, 3 Kings, 3 Queens, and 3 9's… he was 20% to win the hand regardless, but with no indication of strength from Kurt he thought he was best. He can't be blamed for anything except maybe his call to begin with (depending on position etc.) this wassn't the ridiculous beat some people are claiming.Whoever said if you're slow playing a nut hand you have to remain detached from it if scare cards come makes the thesis point. This doesn't mean I don't like or support Suited_up, I think he did awesome to get there and once again congratulations on a great experience and thanks for the good times giving us someone to support!P.S. According to Mike Paulle's blog players that didn't show up day 1 still have 38,000 chips… cringe…
