Nice.. Maybe the reason Doyle's smiling so much is because in Hellmuth's blog he says Doyle bet $400,000 on him to win a bracelet.
Good enough to cover a few rounds of golf with DN.

too bad the coverage of this event was so crappy... i'd love to see the hand by hand for this win. looking at the chip count trends and the hands they actually provided info on it looks like phil put on a clinic.but of course this won't be on ESPN :club:

Congrats to Phil! Whenever the WSOP comes around, he always steps it up a notch and it showing again this year. I wouldn't be surprised if he takes down at least one more bracelet this year. And you have to give it to Chan and Doyle. Class acts.

I am actually jealous. I knew I should have subscribed, but I thought it would go on too long and I wouldn't be able to watch most of it... Oh well, I'll just watch his next one in a few days, lol :club:

Hellmuth's 11Phil Hellmuth Extends his Legend By Winning Event #15 and His 11th Gold Bracelet.June 11, 2007 will go down in poker history as the first time a player captured an eleventh World Series of Poker gold bracelet. It may become the only day in history that can claim that distinction. Hellmuth won the $1,500 no-limit hold’em event in dominant fashion and topped fellow legends Doyle Brunson and Johnny Chan as the all-time bracelet leader. “YES…YES…Oh Baby!” shouted Hellmuth after the win. He was all smiles and graciously shook the hand of runner-up Andy Philachack. The historic victory was then announced to the Amazon room, which broke out into thunderous applause. “I haven’t even looked at the money yet, it’s a nice pile,” said Hellmuth after the gravity of the situation hit him. He then picked up a stack of money off the pile and kissed the prize. Everyone who knows Phil knows he could care less about the money at this point. He is a fanatic about poker history, and he has now increased his part in that history. “I’m ready to own all the records. I’m ready to be the man, finally,” said Hellmuth. Here is how the heads-up played out in the CardPlayer.com event logs:David & GoliathThe players took a short break before heads-up play and returned to the following chip stacks:Phil Hellmuth: $5,732,000Andy Philachack: $2,152,000Consecutive CommandPhil Hellmuth jumped out to an even larger lead when he won the first two hands of the heads-up match. Hellmuth bet $200,000 preflop on the third hand, and Andy Philachack made the call. The flop brought J 8 2. Philachack bet $200,000 and Hellmuth raised to $700,000. Philachack folded and the third hand in a row went to Hellmuth. A board of Q 8 7 6 K sat on the table when Hellmuth bet $250,000 on the next hand. Philachack called and the river brought the K. Philachack led out for $300,000 and Hellmuth quickly called. Philachack turned over 7 4. Hellmuth flipped over A 9 and took down the fourth pot in a rowUneven StacksPhilachack picked up a few pots and the chip counts were then as follows:Phil Hellmuth: $6,895,000Andy Philachack: $1,000,000Overbet CentralPhilachack began to over bet at pots and it was clear he wanted to avoid postflop play with Hellmuth. It wasn’t working to well though, and Hellmuth took out another chunk from his stack to climb above $7 million.Phil Hellmuth Wins 11th Bracelet!Andy Philachack moved all in and Phil Hellmuth made the call. Philachack turned over A 10 and Hellmuth turned over A 3. Fate was thick in the air as the board hit the table 9 4 3 Q J. Hellmuth won his record eleventh gold bracelet by winning the $1,500 no-limit hold'em event. He took home $637,254 in prize money, but more importantly he made history by topping Doyle Brunson and Johnny Chan for the all-time lead in number of World Series of Poker bracelets. Philahack was eliminated in second place and he took home $394,594 in prize money. Cardplayer cant even get there updates right in their write ups lolcongrats to Phil though

Wonder what Daniel's take is on this. I saw VLOG and his smirky retort, "I have a bet against you winning your 11'th" was snarky and classless. Hey Daniel, fact is that this guy is going to have more bracelets than you. Like it or not. You may ultimately win the more money contest. You are winning the popularity contest at this point, but with that attitude....

I ponied up for the $50 on WorldSeriesofPoker.com and watched Phil put on an absolute clinic tonight. He was in such command of the table, it was awesome. Only one guy would play back at him as most were happy to sit back and move up a couple spots in the money. Great work, Phil. Congrats on #11
