Bellagio Vs Mirage Vs Wynn For $2-5 Nl?

Recommended Posts

I think that Wynn has the easiest competition. Mirage has had a lot of regulars in the 2-5 when I have played there. Bellagio has been pretty hit or miss for me, Sometimes the table is filled with rookies who just want to play poker at the Mecca, but sometimes it is filled with tough players. I would definetly say the Wynn out of these 3 choices. MGM and Caesers would be my suggestions though if you are looking to make good money.

A buddy of mine goes to Vegas on a regular basis... he swears by the Flamingo. He is an average player and does well there. Another friend of mine, who I put in the top three players in my area, just went to the Belagio for 7 days, he played 2-5NL, and then mostly 5-10NL, and made $12,000 for 7 days.I have not been to Vegas for 2 years now, but when I used to go... I found the Mirage had some good games. Don't play the 10/20 Limit... too tough the 20/40 limit is a better game. A lot of leather rear-ends at the 10/20 limit at the Mirage. If you can beat that game... you are a very good player. Good game to improve your limit skills at though. I on the other hand will be found at the Belagio and maybe the Flamingo (Flamingo sounds juicy), from July 4th - 13th, when I am not playing the World Series Main event. Hope I have the problem of having to change my return date.PS... I don't play online anymore.. Have not for the last 10 months, I play only Brick and Mortar, and won more than enough money playing 2-5NL and the occasional 5-10NL games, when 5/10NL happens. I have won enough money this year staying off line and playing a regular 2-5NL that I can pay my entry fee to the main event for the next 7 years. ON LINE IS RIGGED!!!!

Right now how can you pass up the Rio? 2/5nl is the smallest game they spread there, so every donk that barely plays is in that game I think???Mark

The Rio is definitely where it's at. The 2-5 is so soft. At least it is for me. I've played three sessions and tripled up my $300 buyin in the first hour without too much trouble or risk. People are willing to call big bets with second pair or weak aces all the way down. The only question is how long do you want to sit in the game.As always your results/experience may vary.

When I was there midweek earlier in the month, the Bellagio 2-5 game was juicier than any 1-2 table I played at at any casino all week.

I just got back from Vegas and I found the easiest room was at the MGM. I don't play that high and only play 1/2NL. I played there 3 nights, and on 2 of the nights I had doubled up, and on 1 night had tripled up, all within the first hour of play.Mirage was okay, but after taking a terrible bad beat in a Sit-n-Go, I left disgusted. In hindsight, I should have stayed and played a cash game with that donkey.Flamingo was pretty good last time I played there earlier this year. I also played the Hilton, as that's where I was staying. Lots of regulars there. Pretty good players, but they are also easy to read once you play a few hours with them.

I dig the disclaimer. Can never be too careful nowadays.

How long is the list for 2-5 at the Rio. 2 hours?
It depends. I think the longest I have waited is about 30 - 40 minutes. Other times, I've just walked right in and sat down. They always seem to be opening new tables often because they are raking the sheit out of the tables ($4 on most every hand) and they always want something running.

$1,000 a night at $2/5 NL in vegas is very conceivable. I've pulled about that off $2/5 every time I've played. It's when I get ripped and play $1/2 that we have a problem. :club:

WORD!Even though I ran ridiculously poor, the Rio had some good games, although many are pretty nitty. Venetian seemed to have good games too.
