I didn't write the article or start the thread and Cardcore is in NY.Just sayin'.But I don't think it's very odd, considering the poker forums and the poker world here are pretty well connected. And to call it disturbing is pretty crazy. We knew about it before it was on the forums, so nobody is taking information from there, but I assume Brad was just using it for extra insight that players may have posted.

I like you guys and think you do good work... ...however, if you are trying to become a trusted source of information, quoting Internet Forums is "pretty crazy" - especially when it involves innuendo, speculation, and gossip regarding a player's reputation and potential personal issues.I'm Just Sayin'

I have a couple follow up questions for ya since every time I look at your post(s) about this subject it/they appear more asinine than the previous read ...When someone writes an article centered around a speculative story (such as this Vinny Vinh situation) they are going to quote people making speculative statments ... i.e. "he didn't look right", "he looked like he was on something" etc. etc.So what's the difference if the author takes his quote from the spoken word, or if he pulls it off a poker forum after verifying that the poster was really at the event, casino, or even the same poker table with Vinny Vinh? What if a well known blogger like Dr. Pauly or Change100 or Mean Gene were to write a short blurb saying Vinny looked coked out the last time they saw him? It sounds like you're just assuming that anything someone posts in a forum is a lie or isn't credible. I think you're older (right?) so maybe you're just fighting change and the way that news is reported now. If someone like Tommy Rau or JC Alvarado posted here and said they saw Vinny shortly before he fell off the face of the earth and he looked like he'd been up for days and on drugs, you'd totally ignore that and not use it if you were writing an article?
