Finally, psujohn makes a post that makes sense.I'll tell you this, if it was DN or Harry Demitriou (sp) making the same post as Tony G, you all would be outraged But since its Tony G, a well known prick at the table, you guys all say he's wrong. The fact is, he's right. If he has exclusive rights, everyone else needs to get out of there and follow the rules, including our FCP reporter. Maybe if there wasn't a million jockriders and chip counters running around the 40 people with paid rights to be there could do a better job reporting, and maybe the WSOP staff could run the events better. Its just a matter of time til they close that room to the public and circuit TV it only. Thats what they need to be doing anyway. There's no need to be in there if you're not playing. That being said, I usually go to Cardplayer for updates. Guess I'll try pokernews for a while.
On top of what I just said..... I re-read this, and you're a fucking idiot. Harry Demetriou said so!

How exactly are all of you saying that pokernews bought the right to public information??They have a contract to be the exclusive media outlet for the WSOP. With that, they got to control the rules for the outside media outlets. They have no right to the actual information. You can't buy that.Once something is public, it's freaking public!!! All they did was limit what everyone else can do with it. They said, hey, here are the rules, if you don't follow them, we'll pull your credentials. Not take us to court. Big difference. They made rules to stop us from doing things, but they don't own any information, or rights to information. When they put it on the site, it's out there for everyone. They told us we can only do one post per hour. That is to stop the hand to hand live updates, which they want exclusively for themselves. They told us we can only do top 10 chipcounts, lord knows why that matters. They also said we can't just list off hands, even in our hourly updates. We can put them in there, but not hand by hand stuff. For the same reason as the first thing I put, they want to be the ones doing that. They tried to spin it that they are the good guys, because they are giving everyone limited access when they don't have to. Well thank you so much!! If they didn't make the deal in the first place, then Tony G wouldn't have anything to complain about. Since they did, they got to make the rules. They made them, and I'm following them. As ridiculous as they are. But if I can't get access to information in any other way but looking at their website, then that's what i'm going to do. I will reword it and do it in my own way, but they made the choice to make it this way.I'm pretty sure I said all this in various posts up to this point, but nobody seems to be listening very well.

This is at least an opinion. One which has little merit and is completely irrelevant however. This is not an event open to the public. It's an event held on private property.
Who the fuck are you to say who's opinion has merit or is relevent?!? And yes, it is an event open to the public, jackass.

Wow, I missed that. That's hilarious. The WSOP isn't open to the public, LOL!!

I guess I'm a fing idiot. ok thenBut I think you have to pay to play. I think the casino can not let you play, because you don't sign the waiver, act a fool, break the rules, or if they just plain think you're ugly they can kick you out....Because it IS private property. That being said, it is open to the public, as long as you follow the rules, pay the fee, sign the paper, etc.Did I say you were breaking the rules suited? No, I said people need to follow them, you included, thats all. If you're following them, great, and sounds like you are.I think Harrah's paid good money for WSOP rights, so did poker news. If Harrahs and PN had an agreement to play in the dark and only give them chip counts, they could. Sounds like Harrahs is who everyone should be mad at, not poker news. I guess I don't see the big deal. Tony G posted that Cardplayer called them out for cutting/pasting chip counts. Now people are trying to do the same to them, seemed like a kind of irrelevant "full circle" post. Now everyone is telling everyone else to stfu. What!? Someone buys rights, you follow rules. If they suck, work on it for next year, and in the meantime don't break the rules. GL FCPers. No drama fo the babies mamas up in here suited, relax and go to it.

congrats- moron. That post will no doubt be exhibit A in the lawsuit brought by Poker news against you and whatever site you are working for. statutoy damages will run in the thousands, and you can plan on spending close to another 50k or so in attorney's fees. why so you think cardplayer backed down. because their lawyers told them too! at this point, it would probably just be easier on you if tony g shanked yo *** in the parking lot, because he will no doubt have his c*** in there by years end.
