I only read the first three comments and I already decided the cards suck.I was going to go to Vegas the first weekend in July but not with those cards.I'm important to people.

ewww that gross
I gotta say I like the card design, but those 6's and 9's are completely idiotic! I can now see why Daniel's updates said what it did about them.

They are bad.I think it's because they had problems with players sneaking cards into tourneys last year. Prevent cheating maybe?
Probably true, because it is obvious no self-respecting poker cheat would be caught dead with these pieces of dung up their sleeve.sw or no sw, you decide, my head hurts to much from looking at the 6 and 9 of diamonds, or was that the 9 and 6 of diamonds....

I have no problem reading any of those marks. The labels on the corners are quite easy to read actually. It's the big image in the middle is sort of an issue. I think people are more likely to misread the board than they are their own hole cards. As someone with pretty good eyesite, this can only work to my advantage. :club:

I saw these cards in a magazine at my casino, while sitting at an open table waiting for my seat. I threw my cup of chex mix across the room.Yeah, they're bad.The article I was reading went on to say, "These cards were tested and endorsed by some of the world's top players." I asked myself, "Who? Ted Lawson and Danny Nguyen?"After seeing TJ's comments, I'm pretty sure I'm on the money.

With all the hands dealt at the wsop, I can imagine someone with pocket sixes and a board of 69699 screaming, "SEVEN OF A KIND!"

yeah, it's pretty depressing. although, if i made a play like that and lost, that's the kind of claim i'd make as well, rather than admit that i lost because i am not good...which is closer to the truth.

The new cards feature Jeffery Pollack's signature on the middle of the back side which makes for a very clear top and bottom of the card...this may not seem like a big deal but this makes the cards that much more markable because you know the top left corner from the bottom right. Amazingly big screw up from the wsop on this one.
Wow, Ego gone wild. It's not a wine bottle 'Jeffery' they are a deck of cards.

Fresh Kem Cards Have Arrived!Tournament Director Jack Effel just made an announcement that received a lot of applause. A package of classic Kem cards has arrived, and floorstaff will be swapping out fresh decks during the next break. It's not certain that there are enough decks to cover tomorrow's action, but Harrah's is definitely reacting as quickly as possible.guess Annie complained about the cards
I wonder if she brought wet toweletts for wiping this year?

Sorry if this has been posted but I just read it and thought it deserved to be posted. From Phil Gordon's article in Bluff about the WSOP:BicycleThe WSOP has signed a deal wih the US Plyaing Card Company, home of the Bicycle and KEM card brands. they have worked hard to develop and test the "Poker Peak" style playing card. i personally think that the cards are awesome and a great addition to the game. the 30,000+ decks of KEM cards that will be in the use during the tournament are a great improvement over previous years. but, the card faces are different, and it will be interesting to see if there is backlash. several players on the wsop player adivisory committee have gone on record as hating the new designs. i think the cards are great, easy to use, and good for TV. We'll see who is right."
