After a bad run at the end of May erased the SnG profit I had made through late April-early May (I just started playing in April), my June goal is to finish the month with a larger bankroll than my highest point in early May. That, and I'd like to improve both my heads-up win% and my overall % of wins relative to other ITM finishes. Baby steps.

I can hardly call it a goal, but I'm planning to play almost zero hands this month. Need to focus on uni, if I start playing I end up way too easily in a long midnight session. I'll just post in strat. :club:

my month thus far at all limits.mixedgraph1.jpgi'm up playing HU, down playing 6 max. I think that has something to do with this: IE, check out my VPIP. LOLstats.jpgNow, I did make a horrible shove with two pair into a flush in the 2/5 game...but i also lost with J hi flush vs ace hi flush, flopped obv...KQ < AQ on Qxx flop (only put $300 in there post tho), a few bluffs, yada yada.Oh well. I havn't played much this month, obv...but I still think I'll get to 5-10k.- Jordan

Goo on.... at least make some joke like you showed her the nuts, or something.
There was such an easy 'FYP' available. I'm hoping to run into her again. I played it pretty cool. Overheard some conversation about her dad. She was in Seat 3 and I was in Seat 7. Me: "Who's your dad?" Her (seemingly embarrassed): "Freddy Deeb." Me: "Oh yeah? Cool. Ohh...I think I remember seeing you on tv a couple of times. I remember thinking, 'That Freddy Deeb has a cute daughter.'" Boom.

Holy crap the WSOP is a ginormous clusterfuck. It's also the most weirdly lit poker room in history. So far the goal of not playing any -EV games the whole time here is going strong. Although I did place a bet on the Phillies to beat the Mets (they did, thanks Billy Wagner). I lost $1 playing poker for like 8 hours today :club:.

Im at $35,850. I have been so up and down in the last week, mostly down. In the 4 years of playing poker, this is the worst spell of variance that i have had to deal with. im playing more 3/6NL and 5/10NL 6 max and heads up too now which is good. i feel i can beat both games as long as the tables don't have more then 1 or 2 regulars at them.game selection is keyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyUPS

Started this Vegas trip up $1k in cash games, but now I've dropped $3k in tournament buy-ins. I feel like I've been playing pretty well though and got decently deep in two of the three tournaments. I think I'm going to try to limit myself to one or two Venetian tournaments over the next couple of weeks until I can get the cash situation rolling a bit better.

That sounds like the way I used to be so I just don't play and more tournaments.

I need some advice.when the Royal Run is over, I'm moving to australia for a few months. but then as soon as i'm finished there. i'm thinking of returning to fulltime play for a little bit longer.Thing is, I plan to move next to a casino. In British Columbia Canada. I'll do this so i can play there fulltime.I also plan to play some more online poker, but my question is. Am i stupid to want to play fulltime live with occasional online sessions?I want your guys honest feed back. I cant friggin do the long online sessions. And I steam easy when online. Yet i never (or hardly) steam live. All i want to hear is, "yes its possible to do what you want to do and be successful" or "No, now-a-days you need online to help make it worth it"

from reading your blog it seems like you need a big adjustment in your attitude. I myself have played live on a short bankroll, and you can do this because the players are worse and reads are stronger, thus your edge is huge, however if I rememeber correctly your playing .25/.50 online with 90 bucks, and this just can't be done, BR management is your friend, Tilting becomes less of a problem as you are less stressed about the money. Playing within your bankroll has the added benefit of allowing you to multitable, which means that you don't have to put long sessions in, 3-4 tableing for an hour is the same as playing all day live. If all you do is play live on good days, fridays and weekends then yeah live would be better, but if your playing fulltime, online is probably going to help.

Good advice from those two. I've found avoiding tilt is far easier when you're playing with relatively small amounts. Not exactly earth-shattering news I know, but if you're going to have $10K or more saved, you can easily make a living playing limits where your bankroll is never threatened.Unless you're playing far larger stakes live than online, you're making a big mistake. If you can teach yourself to play 4 tables without playing poorly or tilting, you'll be much better off online, assuming the online landscape doesn't change too much in the next few months.

My goal for June is to stop being a pansy-assed, weak/tight, scared money uber-rock.I folded kings preflop yesterday to AK. I hate myself.P.S., an ace came on the flop. :icon_dance:P.P.S, I still hate myself. :club:

You guys are right, I've always said it to myself that its easier to handle bad beats when you're within your roll. And although i'm playing way outside my 90 dollars online, I was hoping to just get the feeling back. What its like to sit and multi table cash games online. but i guess its hard to get a true "feel" with my stressfull 1.5 buy-ins.I think i'll deposit a good chunk online as soon as possible to play online when i'm not playing the casino.cheers to u 3
