I'm also betting this turn like every time.I know you asked above for a board that you're not betting, but to be honest, with AK, I'm bet folding like 90% of the boards in this spot. I can't even think of a bad board off the top of my head, especially HU.

yeah, I know you are.I think we're spewing against a decent number of players. The flop bet is so automatic because only a few hands connect. So we think he's peeling with KQ here?

Came to my mind. You have to understand people are peeling with like Ax here, even when the x is not an over, and pretty much any two over cards, not to mention small PPs which may fold to a bet (unlikely, mind you), but it's easily worth a bet.

give me a board where you would not bet the turn
Like Zach, I'm betting almost all boards here. Give me a player that I know waits for the turn frequently and I'll check behind.

do you have any specific reads on him other than his pt stats? i check turns like this sometimes, but i think you might want to consider calling a bet on the river. people seem to call flops like that with Ax way too often and they love to bet anytime you check a street.

I probably bet this turn too often. I like checking behind here, because if we bet the turn and get raised we have to fold getting 4.75:1 with 3 outs at best, counting each over as 1.5 outs and assuming the outs are live (not likely vs. the turn CR).Check behind saves us from the CR, and lets us get to showdown for one more bet with what might be the best hand. The river is unlikely to beat us if we're ahead, and we may induce a bluff. Getting 3.75:1 to call the river is probably sufficient. I think if we check the turn we have to call the river, absent good reads.Plus, the occasional loose call in position is good for the image.Question, if we bet the turn here, do we fold a middle pocket pair?

As it turned out, I never had to call a river betWho knows, I might have hit call if in the heat. But, generally, I look for about ~6:1 or some draws on board that missed.I think a River call is close and I won't argue against it (believe me, I do it a ton because I may check too many turns)I don't think a mid pair folds the turn, after calling the flopTo me, the board texture makes a turn check ok. If I had a read to say he either peels with Ax or that he slow plays big hands, I might be able to make a better play. - Of course, it's pretty tough to actually see those scenarios enough to make a credible read.

Probably not.

I dunno. The texture really makes me like betting again here. And that is the last bet I put in this pot UI.

depending on whether i think i fold a middle pair here, i consider betting the turn. however in most situations, i prefer to check behind the turn and call a river bet.against most players we don't fold middle pairs, and we don't want to fold lots of Ax hands there that he may well be stupidly peeling the flop with.in my experience, lots of guys will peel with KQ or Ax or other crap on this flop, then inconsistently lead the river. i think we're making a mistake by checking the turn and folding the river, and don't see a big difference between betting the turn or not (so long as we call the river), if we make the questionable assumption that we never fold 6x or middle pairs.

I think you have to bet the turn here. His turn check is the first part of a check/fold very frequently. We can just fold if he check/raises the turn. We're ahead of a lot, and pocket pairs fold sometimes for the turn bet.Check thru the river if he calls, fold if he raises, stack chips if he folds!Position, preflop raise, it all compounds our fold equity here.

Kkot and everyone,I think we should be betting draw heavier boards to charge hands that call and we are ahead. We are not ahead of as many hands here.MDG makes the point again about calling the river, I think I do usually, but probably not going to with the small pot and pasivish player and not missed draws bluffing me.
