Are They Having A Toc For The Wsop This Year?

Last year they held the TOC right before the start of the 06 WSOP. I haven't seen anything about coverage for this years event. Does anyone have any info or links for coverage as it should be taking place very soon.

I believe it happens AFTER the WSOP so they can invite WSOP notables from that year. For example the 2005 WSOP TOC had Dannenmann as a participant. The 2005 TOC was held in November 2005. But it looks like in 2006 it was held in Late June.

I think the point trying to be made by the OP, which is a correct one, is that it was held prior to the WSOP last year so the question remains as to whether the same will occur this year. If I recall I think Daniel even skipped the first bracelet event as he had played that marathon TOC final table. I haven't heard anything about when it would be played this year. Using the old adage about google being my friend I still did not find any details.

I think it should be after the WSOP and it should have all of the bracelet winners, and the WSOP player of the year (though the player of the year probably won a bracelt). I don't think it should include the whole final table of the main event or sponsor exemptions, even if none of the bracelet winners are pros

I think they do sponsors exemptions for players like Hellmuth, Matusow, Negreanu etc. because those are the most recognizable players in the game and will draw better ratings than no name players.

well the ratings draw is only to entice the sponsors who put up the 2 million, the sponsors want name players because that means more people will be interested meaning more people will see their commericals and they can make more money. if the sponsors dont get what they want, they pull their money, and than there is no free roll, and than no point to the tourney. just to add a lil to that point.
