3/6 O8 Full Kill at the casino. 1 guy at the table actually understands the game and knows when and what to raise with. The other players are old donkeys who love to chase. Dealt to me: 2c3d4d5d. I'm on the button and raise it to 6. Everyone folds except the 1 player who knows how to play in MP.Pot: 2.6 big bets.Flop: Ah6dJcHe bets, Icall.Pot: 3.6 big betsTURN: 7dHe checks, I bet, he raises, I raise, He raises, I raise, He raises....now what?

I feel like you should've slowed down a few bets ago. It's not incredibly unlikely that he's actually pushing a real edge here. I'm too lazy to do the math, but I think you're behind a hand like 2378....Wang

Well see I knew that the low was mine no matter what the river was. After like the 5th raise I thought I was quartered for sure. But then I picked up a straight and flush draw. 8 diamonds plus 3 3's, 3 4's, 3 5's, and 3 8's to take the high. (Barring he didn't have a higher flush draw.) That's 20 outs to take the high. If my math is right, that's 40%. Why wouldn't I jam up the nut low and 40% chance to take the high?

You're serious? Because-given his play- he probably has nut low, too. And he probably has a redraw, too. And after he puts the SIXTH bet in, his redraw is probably better than yours. If not, then you mark it down and realize he'll get all his chips in when you're frerolling on him. Do a little math. Like I said before, 2378 WITHOUT A DIAMOND DRAW has the best hand here.2378 w/2 diamonds has you as almost a 60/40 dog. These hands aren't really all that unlikely, and- given your read on him as a solid good player- are considerably more likely than some hand YOU have in bad shape. Wang

Well said. i wouldn't re-raise again until you improve if this guy is solid like you say. A good read would probably get you to just call the 4 bet. He isn't 4 betting without the low here, but as you said you thought you had a strong freeroll, so 5 betting isnt terrible, but his 6 bet is telling you you are behind to A23, 237, nut low + nut flush draw, etc.

He was giving some info away with his tells though. After I reraised him the 5th time, he went into the tank and thought for about 20 seconds and had a puzzled look on his face. I was about 95% sure he had AAxx. Then he said something like, "I might get counterfeited." That's when I started thinking. It turns out none of this mattered because the river was a Jack, pairing the board. He bet and I called. He flipped over AA4x. I don't remember his fourth card, but it didn't matter at all. It turns out my play was actually good, because he a bad low draw and a vulnerable high hand to mine. Also, if he had AA23 to begin with he would have raised preflop in MP. This guy raised good low drawing hands preflop and rarely showed down just strong high hands. I just wanted to see what others though about my play.

Well then you lied to us about him being a good player. A good player wouldn't be 6-betting this hand.

you can probably put him on 2367, 2366 or 236j if he is as decent as you think...so you need to hit on the river

Things that are important to hand analysis. They're bolded, and also completely discredit your "this guy is good" theory. I'm terrible, but I'm not even close to as terrible as this guy is. He's the worst. You were freerolling your probably-also-terrible ass off against him. Too bad a 5 didn't roll off.Wang

No, the thing is, I could never run my mouth in here, because the Wallace and Grommit guy would (Chamomile?) would just show up and politely expose me as a complete and total Omaha fraud. Then NavyButtons would politely disagree, explaining that I'm only one of the 10 or 15 worst Omaha players ever, etc., etc. Then I'd make some comment to Checky about Peter, Bjorn and John or something, and he'd have my back.Wait a second... maybe I CAN start running my mouth in here.Wang
