  1. you need to hit 3 of either color, black or red. pays out 8-1... w00tI just made another 5 playing Blackjack so i'm doing another SNG! haha gotta love it
  2. yeah i figured that before i did it, but you can't do much w/ $3.75 on party poker so i said why not?
  3. I found i had $3.75 left, so i decided to enroll in a big $1 going on tonight, since they don't have micro limits... then i saw this "side bet" thing on a ring game i was watching.I put $1 on red..FLop came red red red...it pays out 8-1. Now i have 9.75 and i can actually play a sng!w0000t
  4. Phil Gordon on celebrity poker actually helped me out w/ a tell once:He mentioned in an episode that after the player made a big bet, they were hunched forward, showing strength, usually meaning they were weak. Well i ended up in a pot on the river w/ an opponent all in for about $60 (1/2 nl 100max). Gathering the few pieces of information in the hand i had, as well as his body posture, i called his all in on the river w/ the J high flush when the K and Q were better flushes than mine (4 diamonds on the board). I had the best hand and took it down, thanks to a lil advice from phil gordon.
  5. Try getting KK heads up and check raising all in preflop, only to be met by the red rockets themselves, pocket aces. Same thing happened at a wsop circuit event w/ antonio esfandiari but it also happened to me in a $10 sng on stars... w00t
  6. I've got $50 to deposit on a new site, here's the one's ive tried:Party PokerPokerroomPokerstarsAny suggestions on other ones? I like to play sngs and i would eventually like to try rakeback if possible, i've heard a lot of people talk about that for the ring games... any suggestions are appreciated.

  8. i wasn't immediately a fan of the new payout structure, and i'm still not. I recently got 17th in a $3 tourney (w00t) and made a measley $29.50. Even the Final Table payouts would have been grim until 4th place! There were about 1800 people in this tourney.I think it's cool that you don't have to beat as many people to make the money in these tourneys now, but on the other hand, what's the point of making the money if it isn't worth it?^ ^
  9. He won the ME of the WCOOP under the account name "Panella86"I heard that he was drunk at the final table, and was going off about how he is such a better player than the other players.... lolApparently Greg Raymer and Barry Greestein critisized him on these words in their live final table telecast... heh..I'm still mad about the ME of the WCOOP...I was in a satellite, 5000FPP on stars... and i would have doubled up nicely and be able to ride it out to the qualifying places... when my QQ got beat by AJ on a flop of J 8 7 when an ace spiked on the river. SOMETIMES i hate stars, especially since
  10. Yeah i really wanted to throw away those 8's... but i was so short stacked that 88 looked like Aces at that point... but wait, he had the aces! oh well..
  11. lol thanks kuge, i'll send you a dollar for the help!
  12. about 20 left... sittin short... search me: Beaverstyle
  13. I never said Matusow was stupid for his KK hand... or the 10 10 that ended up knocking him out... those plays were both perfect... and I wish that that 4th heart hadn't come up (KK vs AA) so Matusow could have made a better showing at the FT
  14. well at least it's a lil warmer in my thread now w/ all these flames.Anyone think it's funny how Matusow was the favorite at the Final table... and donked off so many of his chips on hands he shouldn't have even been in?i.e. 59os against black.
  15. People are saying now that he's "consistant" since he got to the FT of a WSOP circuit event? Sure, now you can say that he actually knows how to play tournament poker, but c'mon, in the 2005ME Hachem got very lucky a few times in these ways: 1. Lazar donked off some chips to him after being on tilt from folding quad aces.2. Hit's a Q against Kanter, which I can't understand why he would go all in there. Kanter showed he would push, call, and reraise w/ absolutely nothing and was on an incredible rush of cards. Hachem had to think that kanter would call there w/ any two cards.3. Flopped strai

  17. "I had two cards with the same funny picture on them, so I put some of the chips from my pile in the middle, then the other guy did the same" You mean, that's not proper terminology? No wonder i get flamed.wait...
  18. Thank you I said this already but you put it in such better words and still I think people will disagree... sadly. And for the Gus thing I remember a little hand where he called a "Magician" and was a major underdog and when he sucked out he couldnt stop saying "Oh my God" But Im not dissing Hansen cuz I respect him very much Im just pointing out that he has aggressive flaws just like everyone else and dont judge Tuan from TV.It was actually more like 54/46%.... 77 vs 8 10 os
  19. While counseling a friend about girl problems:"Man, it's like this. You're holding AA and you've hit your set, but you're pretty sure she's got the nut flush draw. You gotta ask yourself if you wanna bet her out now, or let her put some more money in the pot and try to catch her flush. You always run the risk of her catchin her flush man..."
  20. During 2004 $1,000 rebuy NLHE tourneyMike Matusow: (w/ AJos) I knew he had a pair, that's why i called, i wanted to gamble.Mike Matusow: (after he loses the coin flip) I knew he had a pair, and i just wanted to gamble.DN: You knew he had a pair? yeah... especially after he flipped it over! (giggles)Thought that line was classic.
  21. Happened to me once... awesome when you flop the NUTS...and even nice when it says you won w/ a Straight Flush
  22. Don't know if anyone's posted about this before, but I wanna get a few perspectives on this strange move.So many times, I've seen people check the river, with their opponent checking behind them, and then showing up the nut flush/straight/boat, whatever it is. I know the logic behind it is to make the other person think they can steal the pot, or bet their weaker hand, and to check raise them. I know, in certain occasions, based on the betting patterns and whatnot, a check raise on the river may be possible, however, I don't see it consistantly working to create the largest profit for your han
  23. Hey, if you ever do alright at our tuesday night game (which i believe you have...) then you got nothing to fret.Playing great poker isn't always playing winning poker.
