I was in a big $5 tourney on stars, and i accidentally clicked raise when someone had made a substantial raise preflop... i had 7 3 diamonds. It got checked down to the river and i made a pair of threes, the flop was J high, rainbow........ Pretty sure i got lucky as hell when he missed w/ his AK. ended up putting me top 30 w/ about 300 left.

Playing 1/2 NL at Windsor, down $100 already from the same ol same ol... then this hand comes up.I pick up pocket aces (first time in a casino) sitting with about $135UTG limps, i'm 3rd to act, i raise to $10 there are about 4 callers, including the UTG limper. Flop is beautifully harmless, K 8 7 rainbow.UTG checks, i bet 20, 2 callers including UTG.Turn is a 7, pairing the board. UTG checks. I bet 20, other player folds, UTG calls.RIver comes 4. UTG checks, i bet 30, he check raises all in, i call, being pot commmitted. He flips up 7 4 diamonds for the runner runner boat. Here's what i think i

amazing sometimes what people go all in with preflop
Juandastyle replied to Juandastyle's topic in General Poker Forum
so.... apparently a flush draw against an overpair is 50% to win on the river.... i believe someone in this forum used this line before: "gotta love what moneymaker did for the game." -

did i play this hand bad pre-flop?
Juandastyle replied to ncperrotta069's topic in Other Poker Cash Games
Just to be different....No, you played it perfect.if you thought your 4 high was good, that is. Or if you swim in a tank... -
first, it's "dispute" with an e on the end.Nice job fixing it and making me look like a doucheSecond, it seems if you were to judge by results, player 1 is the better player. No one cares about lil $2 tournies... cept maybe the 1200 people once when it gets down to two tables...

I'm moving up in the FCP grid, a post i started went to two pages! w00t...And the conclusion i reach from everyone's input is this: -Hoyt's all in move was insane and a bad play-D'agostino's call was lucky, being a huge favorite, but he got incredibly unlucky.Hoyt could have easily had AK and wanted to simply take Dago's blind since he was out of position for the rest of the hand. In that case, D'ago was only a coin flip, for a majority of his chips. I know you need to win in spots like that... Hoyt was stupid because he's going all in against a blind hand. I mean, he's obviously playing the p

what hand do you irrationally hate the most?
Juandastyle replied to mrdannyg's topic in General Poker Forum
Well, the perfect response would be whatever hand outdraws my aces.... again... and again.... and again......but the hand i hate the most is A10.... a pretty decent ace... but if the ace hit's the question always lurks: "does that fcker have the better ace..."or a flop a bs two pair w/ a4. -

here's the kinda tricky part.... with or without the mucked cards????

What would be the official ruling in a situation like this? Usually, at our tuesday game, we allow the player who hasn't called the raise yet to decide if they are going to, and simply play it out... I'm almost positive this is wrong, but how would one go about remedying this situation. (when one or more cards of the flop comes out prematurely)?

Why risk doubling him up w/ a marginal hand.... wait for a better one, just because you have a lot more chips than him doesn't mean it's ok to donk off some more w/ 7 2 suited...Or call w/ it and outdraw his AK... whatever.^ ^

titan poker instant bankroll, little buggy?
Juandastyle replied to RayPowers's topic in General Poker Forum
Yeah, so, what's the instant bankroll site for Titan Poker???I was thinking about trying that site, but if i could start on there for free, that'd be ideal. -
I've seen beats this bad in live play (like most of you) and usually, verbal bashing is what comes from it. I know no pro in their right mind would do such a thing at a final table (well, a few for table talk, but now w/ bad beats). DAGO didn't say a word to Hoyt Corkins, and i think that is admirable. I would have done exactly what DAGO did. I understand that you have to make plays on people to accumulate chips (not really, but you might find the need to sooner or late) But Hoyt, having almost as many chips as DAGO, Made a huge misjudgement in going all in w/ 78 suited. If DAGO wakes up w/

I played in one of those, got 4th, got knocked out when i got Aces up on the turn, however the chip leader flopped a set of Q';s so i was out in 4th for NO MONEY... EFF THAT!

I'm sure some of you have seen this, where John D'agostino goes into the Final Table and ends up placing something like 5th, because of a huge outdraw from Hoyt Corkins. The hand went something like this. Not sure of position, i think hoyt was on the button w/ 7 8 suited, and went all in to steal the blinds. D'agostino woke up w/ 10 10 and called the all in (it might have been a different betting pattern, i watched this at 4:30 am last night and i don't recall specifics)Basically Hoyt flops trip 7's, and to add insult to injury, the 4th 7 falls on the turn. After the chips were counted, D'agos
