read whatever you can , but HOH1 and HOH2 are good as said above, if you need to get away from it, it will make you that much more excited to play when you've taken a good break. Try a month or two, i did, and it has helped my game extensively, i didnt even watch poker on tv, which, i am addicted to.

take some time off, read a book or two, and play to get better, not to make money, even if the limits aren't where you want to be
