  1. You were not "ran" over but I agree that I want to see you raise the flop in this situation but you got to call the river against this guy.
  2. No reason to get defensive. You bet the flop and get control of the hand.Good Luck
  3. You really played this hand terribly. I hope you raise and he has 66.
  4. I don't typically trade bonds but I have to put my two cents in. I think if one wants to be in bonds, there are plenty of corporate bonds that have attractive yields and high grades from the rating agencies. PEP has a 5% coupon due in 2018 with a yield to maturity of 5.2% and an A+ rating(For those who don't follow ratings, an A+ is the fifth highest rating from SP and Fitch and is equivalent to a A1 rating by Moody's). If you don't believe all financial companies are insolvent and believe that Prudential Financial(PHR) will come close to projected earnings this year then their 6.45% coupon du
  5. I think you are right about Zecco and MBtrader does sound like the most bang for your buck. Good luck
  6. Coming from the most underrated poker player on this site, that means a lot BA
  7. It depends on what kind of trader you want to be. If you are starting with under 10k and are going to be an active trader then a site like Zecco is probably best since they offer 10 free trades a month and also I think its 4.99 per trade after while the 'bigger' sites usually charge 10-12 dollars per trade. Of course Zecco does not have pre-market/after hours trading(trading before and after the market closes) and the customer service is known to be horrendous. Etrade is a good site if you want to trade internationally and Ameritrade is probably the biggest site(easily the best customer servic
  8. Yodster,I suppose it is time for me to come clean and admit that I am not a big believer in technical analysis as it has to do with stock analysis(For currency and futures trading it is much more prevelant in my analysis) but I do agree Yoda, that in terms of a volatile market, technical analysis can help in the day to day moves of stock research. It is hard to tell how knowledgeable you are of technical analysis since you describe yourself as 'nowhere near an expert' but I would offer the advice that the most known and considered useful oscillators and indicators are the Aroon oscillator and i
  9. I wasn't posting about anyone in particular and since you have been vocal about your opinions on the markets(and overall economy) the post holds little relevance to you.If aimed at anyone, it would be Yoda so that he knows that some do enjoy his thoughts. This board seems more than comfortable trashing those who offer opinions while sitting idly on the sideline.
  10. Are you the same team that with the season basically on the line in week 16 put up a 3 point performance.Regardless,Ravens > Eagles36-772OFFSUIT
  11. Had to go after blowing 4 straight to miss playoffs.
  12. If you could start a franchise with any one NFL player who would it be?I got to go with All Day Peterson.
