Just busted these chairs out for a party last night. Ben, they're just out by my garage, feel free to just swing by and scoop them up.

I may have a chair or two of Ben's left but they are scattered thoroughly throughout the city at this point. I can distinctly remember bringing them to a couple of different locations, then forgetting them, then who knows if they are still there, etc.In fairness to me, I did try to give them back to him a few times but he never responded to messages on here or PM's.How the hell did this become such a long thread? This is not true at all. If you have the money to just pay cash for the vehicle you are going to buy and are confident that you will be able to do that again when you need another, then yea, this advice and the rest of this post is fine. Realize though that 90%+ people finance their cars, and the residual value is going to be extremely important if and when they are wanting to get out of it before the life of the loan expires.I purchaed my Pathfinder. People here are talking about resale and this and that, but the bottom line is that a vehicle is NOT an investment no matter what. You decide how much you want to spend and pretty much are throwing that money away anyway. -
Fantastic choice. This is one of the hottest, if not the hottest, vehicle on the market right now. They are flying out the door everywhere and have literally appreciated about 20% in value over the last year...that's right, appreciated.While that obviously won't last (a product of the economy and gas prices depreciating it 30% in about 6 months last year...this is more a correction than anything), this vehicle is a sleek, sporty, reliable, sharp crossover that will hold its value well for the next several years. It isn't expensive to maintain like the luxuries, but if you get it jammed out, can do the same job at a much more affordable priced. The Murano is another super popular choice, but IMO the Edge (or its sister car the MKX) is the single best vehicle you can buy right now. Not just out of Crossovers, but out of ANY vehicle.

I guess I can see where you're coming from.You are reading way too far into my intentions instead of just addressing the OP though...which I guess you sort of did but then jumped right back into my intentionsit just seemed as tho the reason for this thread was to say "hey, all the cool people are over at 4bb (or whatever it's called) and that's why FCP now sucks." You may not have brought it up, but it seemed as though you (OP) was waiting for someone to. If I'm misreading this, then my bad...but it felt like a FCP vs. 4bb thread from the get go. Fair enough postI still don't necessarily understand the point. Everybody has MSN or AIM, right? I guess other than a few efforts I made with Zach to improve the strat forums here, there's really never been a time I didn't go to 2+2 to get advice or participate in theory/hand discussions. I mean, more power to everyone.. that's cool and all. But, the thing I kinda always liked about this place is that it *wasn't* as serious and as uptight. To be clear, I'm not saying RDog or anyone else is wrong for leaving but this place has pretty much always been the same, other than the charter membership fiasco. As for the OP, meh.. whatever. Tons of succesful, winning, intelligent posters have left this site over the years. New folks come along and it all seems to work out. -

Alright, quick update. A few months ago I brought the chairs to a get together with some work people in Bolingbrook. I didn't forget them, but when we left people were still using them, so I'd planned to pick them up another time...still hasn't happened. BUT I just asked the guy who hosted at work the other day if he has them, and he does in the garage.Now, I do apologize for doing this Ben, but I said he may as well keep them at this point. He was like "no no, don't worry about it, they're not taking up much space or anything". So it looks like I should have them back soon. If you need them, I'll get the guys address and you can pick them up in Bolingbrook.
