Stop loss figures may also make you leave a profitable situation when you are playing well. I never understood the whole stop loss figure, if you're playing poorly it's one thing but someone hits a gutshot after getting it all in against you on the turn, why would you want to leave that situation just because it's your 2nd buy in and that's your stop loss number??Not to hijack the thread, just my .02for the OP go to school and play poker for extra income in your spare time....get a job as well

the site i play on has no seating rules which is nice, but generally it's "you can stay as long as you don't fill the table" but once the table fills it's fine. if you don't mind zach i'll send you a pm in the morning, currently in the middle of a beer pong tourney lol.

most of the sites for propping, have no "limit restrictions" only seating restrictions usually being "you can't fill the table, but if you sit being the 7 or 8th person it's fine to stay"as to compare to AP, some sites have rakeback paid daily, other's are weekly. If i remember correctly AP is paid monthly??? The site I play on has the possibility of 150% rakeback if you generate over 1000 in rake during any given week. * which playing SHLHE isn't too hard especially 2/4 and more, yesterday i made 220 in RB in about 4-5 hours of play at 3/6

it's only lower variance because you're playing super tight. it all depends on financial situation. IMO if you have a consitant form of income that pays bills etc (job) and you can afford to take shots with your "poker bankroll" then go ahead. If you don't have an additional form of income I like to stay at 30-40 buy in's to be safe.footnote: "taking a shot" does not include dumping whole roll on table, taking a shot to me is moving up 1 level from where you normally play

so for some reason i've decided to read the stragety forum tonight, and reading this thread i feel there's a lot of low limit grinders out there, which is respectable because i fall into that category. With all this rakeback talk, you guys should really look into becoming props for smaller sites, a lot of them offer 100%+ rakeback. I am not going to plug any sites for propping because I don't want to spam, but you should really take a look at it. that is all, gl at the tables
