[question about when to stop (limit holdem)]

I've read before that some people stop for the day after loosing 30BB's on a limit table.Is that a rule that I should follow? I'm down 40BB's after this session, I'm not on tilt nor was I playing bad. The river just brought everyones miracle card to suck out on me today. Later tonight after several hours have gone by I want to play another session? Should I not play at all again today or does it not really matter as long as I can still play my A-game?
