  1. His read wasn't even THAT bad. The guy had nothing, but his nothing beat Thorsson's nothing.Chad
  2. I was thinking the same thing. Thorsson could also beat a low pocket pair at this point...I don't know.Chad
  3. I don't know much about the world of High Stakes PLO, but is JT99? Although with the turn bet I can't imagine how it was anything else...certainly something like AA44 wouldn't have induced that.Chad
  4. OK, I'll bite. Two things stand out here:1) If you have A345 and are drawing to a flush without the Ace, you do NOT have a good high draw in Omaha.2) Even if you did, explain to me how he has the nut flush already and you only have a flush draw? If you're at the turn and he has the nut flush, that means there are (at best) three of one suit on the board, and one of another with one card to go. How do you only have a flush draw at this point?Chad
  5. Again, apologies for the lack of Hand Converter. I don't realize I should post these until it's too late to find the hand. This was early in the session, so no real reads. I'm dealt Q Q . I raise from the button. I get two callers.Flop comes 4 6 A Checked to me, I bet, one guy folds, I get re-raised by the other. I call (which was probably a mistake) but called figuring I may be up against a flush draw.Turn comes 10 Guy checks, I check and take the free card because either one of my opponent's hands has me beat at this point. River is K I now have the second nut flush. The only card
  6. Does this change if the flop is 6,7,8 and hero has hit the nut (non-counterfeitable) low draw?Chad
  7. I find this interesting, because you've given more aggressive advice than I tend to play in a couple other threads, yet you played this more conservatively than I would.I ask this honestly seeking feedback: Why check/fold with the nut straight and a rainbow flop? Best case scenario for him (other than the same straight) is that he has a set. If he has a set, I'm about a 2:1 favorite at this point. Why not put some money in and see what the next couple streets do? If the next street pairs, I've lost about $1 extra. If it doesn't, I can make him draw fairly thin on the river for another pot-size
  8. Hey, I at least called before the flop ;)IF I can complete the betting, I'd definitely call the turn. But if the original bettor raises and the betting gets capped, I really don't like my hand here.Let me know what you come up with after thinking about it. I'm interested in what a deeper analysis shows.Chad
  9. I don't necessarily like the pre-flop raise. I would have called, and if I don't hit a flop I can just fold. Plus I don't really like this hand played heads up. If you hit a low you need a third person in the pot to make it worthwhile. Otherwise you just break even.I vote for a min bet on the flop. Maybe you can chase him away, but if he calls, you're beat on the high side. Check/fold the turn when it's not a low card.On the bubble I don't even think you call with this hand. With 6600 chips, and blinds at 400/800 you have plenty of time to find a better place your money in. But you only have
  10. I'd call pre-flop. A suited ace with two wheel cards is a good thing. I wouldn't raise because:1) I don't have a two.2) With only the two high cards I need to hit the flop.I'd like to see what happens.I wouldn't have called the flop bets because I'm fairly sure I'm beat at this point with no significant draw. The only reason I don't call the turn is because I'm afraid that it'll be capped and I really don't want to call all of this with a drawing hand.BUT if you hit a low, you at least take half the pot. It's hard to imagine either one of these folks has been leading/raising with the low draw
  11. Forgive me for not running this through the converter. I didn't think about the hand until it was several hours old. This took place at $.10/.25 PLO8 on Ultimate Bet.This was my first hand at the table, so I'm posting BB. Was dealt A Q 2 3 Not a bad hand to see a free flop with. I check, I think three other people saw a flop with me.Flop comes K J T I've flopped the nuts. I bet the pot. All but one player folds.Turn is 4 I still have the nuts, plus a nut flush re-draw. I bet the pot again. Guy calls.River is K I've hit the nut flush, but the board is now paired. With no low hand
  12. This is my first post, and I appreciate this thread because I ran in to this exact same situation this afternoon. I played it the exact same way, so I feel good about life. Well I had Jacks, and actually hit my set and sucked out on the river. Two questions for the experts here:1) Does anyone play this any different with only two players in the hand?2) Do you play this any different in Pineapple where you get dealt three cards, but the flop comes down rainbow? It could be more likely that someone could be playing a 4/6, but I doubt anyone sticks around with any combination of those cards when
