  1. of course, i've heard l'axe is good, mainly we just want a place to stay near things that are fun to do, liek casinos and strip clubs
  2. i didnt realize taht about poker, but im still happy to play blackjack, so if there are any hotels near casinos and clubs/bars that is definitely what we are looking for.
  3. me and a couple of my buddies are heading north of the border in a couple weeks and have no idea what to do/where to stay. i of course want to stay as close as possible to a casino that has poker, and they want to stay close to bars. if there is any way this is geographically possible and you know of a good hotel i would really appreciate any tips. thanks a lot, greg
  4. i think we can all agree that when a player's first voluntary action is to call a bet he can be referred to as a "caller". i may publish this theory.
  5. i've never bought custom chips, but the ones pictured are the composite material, as opposed to the clay option. if you do get the chips get composite, they have an awesome feel to them and stack really well.

  9. elkang i think you're right...he must be playing on that site that has 5 jacks in the deck.
  10. nevada jacks are the absolute best. my goodness i can't even describe. search them on ebay and find the picture of them stacked up.
  11. Hey, I've played at turning stone, mostly due to the fact that i'm only 18. its a dry casino so dont expect any "duff" up there. the card room is good, they recently added a 1/2 100 max buy in no limit table, they also have 15/30, 5/10, 3/6, 2/4 and 1-3 hold em. 1-5 stud occasionally, daily tournaments with pretty quick blind increases. saturday (or friday, i forget) nights they have a big game, 300 min buy in, Al Krux plays in that he's from nearby syracuse. the dealers and staff are nice, and the cocktail waitresses keep a nice supply of soda running. nothing compared to the taj but he
