  1. me neither, but I also haven't met clay aiken or richard simmons.
  2. I didn't take the time to read most of this because I cannot decide If I agree with a point when it is shrouded by so much incoherence, but I think one thing he is saying is that Hassan Habib staked Tuan Le and had an interest in him winning the tournament? But Tuan won a previous tournament of that WPT season and therefore won his seat for free, so presumably he wasn't going to have to split with anyone.
  3. Does anyone besides me get the vibe that the "Alabama Cowboy" wears the assless leather chaps both on the farm and in the bedroom? The segment they had on him during that US Poker Chamiponship or whatever on ESPN made me laugh showing him as a southern good ol' boy churchgoer. I definitely don't see him as that.
  4. I couldn't even watch. I just couldn't watch after the first one, I covered my eyes and then closed it.
  5. Hi, my name is Bob and I am a donk."Hi, Bob."Hi.Or at least, I can be a donk. When I am concentrating while playing poker I make fat cash. Good reads, good decisions, blah, blah, blah. I make a living at cards and I depend on it.However, I'm sure at least some of you are familiar with this problem that I have more frequently than I can afford. Essentially, at certain points I just turn my brain off. I start calling all-ins on draws. I bluff waaaaay too much. I push in with 24 hearts because it is the "magic" hand. I think to myself "Well, I'm probably winning right now..... Call" or "Dam
  6. Yeah what the hell is the catch on rakeback? I've never even looked into it because people don't give money away for free. Except if you count most 1/2 NL players.........
  7. No that's not what this is. The maximum beginning stack is $2000 at this table and he increases his from what it should be ($3221) to $5173.
  8. Also, much love to him but you'd think with 20 mil you could get a haircut and some nice clothes, especially if you're gonna be on TV......
  9. Who is Beal? sorry for ignorance.
  10. I was sweating the 10/20 NL on pokerstars recently and I noticed something odd. Sometimes when certain players rake in large pots (I think it is usually in all-in situations but I am not sure) their new stack is much larger than it should be. Two players who I have definitely seen doing this are H@LLINGGOL and twin-caracas. I looked at the hand histories one time when I saw it to make sure I wasn't doing bad math or something and I wasn't. H@LL won a pot that should have put his stack at about $3200 but instead it was about $5100 when the next hand began. My question is, is there a trick wh
  11. I saw in the most reccent episode of Poker Superstars II a segment where Todd Brunson discusses his cash game winnings. He says he is up $20 million in "the big game" in addition to whatever he's made elsewhere.Does anyone know where or what this "big game" is and who plays in it regularly? I've heard reverences to it (I think) in the past but nobody ever knows specifics. If it is just a bunch of pros beating up on eachother, why wouldn't they want to be sharks in a fish pond instead of sharks competing against other sharks for sloppy seconds?
  12. Are there any live games in Denver that anyone knows about? Some guy gave me a business card of a "gin rummy club" recently but I lost it. I am itching for something live, preferably a card room but if anyone knows of some good home games that accept strangers that would be good too. I am sick of staring at this screen. When you see A4 as AA its time to get yourself to some B&M action.
  13. Is there any good software that automatically tracks online monetary wins/losses? I currently use an excel spreadsheet that I created to track everything, but it is a pain to have to input the data automatically all the time and it sometimes distracts me from the actual poker play. Does anyone know a good program that will record the financial aspect of the game? Preferably it would work with ring games, tournaments and SnG's but maybe that is asking too much. Thanks in advance.P.S. I mostly play on Stars so it would have to be compatible with that thanks.
  14. Actually it is quite possible to make a profit at HU matches.I find that the higher up you go in limits the more consistent your winning percentage becomes. As long as you have good skills, I think you would actually prefer to play a good player rather than a fish in HU. I have no doubt that limit hold 'em HU takes more skill than NL, but as someone already said in my hijacked thread there is no market for them.I used to play 10+.50 and 20+1 HU on pstars and my winning percentage was around 61-62%. Nowadays I play $100 and $200 HU and my winning percentage is around 68%. I usually double-t
  15. I make a decent portion of my income from heads-up matches and I am wondering if there is anyone here who does the same and if so, what percentage of matches do you win and at what limit? I am wondering if it would be possible to play a little slower and tighter and increase the winning percentage while decreasing the number of matches played, but I'm not sure if that would be more profitable. Thanks.
  16. Hi everyone I am somewhat new to online poker (18 months or so) and I have been reading some other posts on this site where people ask about the best online poker sites. The responses are varied, but I notice that almost no one ever reccomends Pstars, which is where I have been playing except for my first couple of weeks or so which were on Pokerroom. Now on Pstars I normally play mostly 5/10 NL along with some STT's and a lot of Heads-Up sit-n-go's with an MTT mixed in here and there. I am consistently profitable but as I have never tried Partpoker/FullTilt etc. I am wondering if there is an
