  1. There actually was a reason I asked him to leave.Shortly before I said that, Andy had said:AndyKerestury: ud be licking perrys nuts if i wasn't hereHence, my retort.Perry
  2. I have been spreading the word in a positive way as well. During my weekly chat on Full Tilt Poker, I closed by mentioning the protest and encouraged people to check out your site. Someone started a thread on TwoPlusTwo after seeing me mention the protest in the chat. However, I am really not sure how effective this "grass roots" method of spreading the word can be.I am totally behind your effort, and will do everything I can to spread the word and encourage people to attend.
  3. The big problem I have with this planned protest is that Debbie does not seem to be well versed in publicity and media relations. I have seen absolutely no mention of this planned protest in mainstream press. The only mentions I have seen are on gambing websites. Without mainstream press, attendance will be in the dozens, or hundreds at best. This will do little to persuade those in power that there is a grass roots uproar over the actions of the present administration and Congress. In fact, if there ends up being press coverage after the fact of the protest itself, it may be counter prod
  4. One thing: I think you have it backward. If you announced you were marching on Washington on Guy Fawkes Day, and made the "V for Vendetta" tie in, you could get some press on CNN before the event, which could mean a turnout 10 times bigger than you can get without national TV coverage in advance of the event. I would recommend contacting media outlets like CNN and telling them about the protest and drumming up attendance via that route. The story is right up their alley. Other outlets like MSNBC (Keith Olbermann), and "The Daily Show" on Comedy Central would love this story too. I think g
  5. I will do my best to drum up support for extending it. I have been contacting people I know and posting to other forums (like RGP).I wish you success, not just in regards to the new online gaming legislation, but in general regarding the erosion of the very freedoms that make this country great. Suspending Habeus Corpus, warrantless wiretaps, datamining phone calls, torture, etc.Perry
  6. I sent email to her asking her to change (or extend) the protest toNovember 5.The significance of that date is that it is Guy Fawkes day. For those of you who have seen "V for Vendetta", the significance of that date should be evident. I think she would guarantee a tremendous amount of additional press coverage leading up and including the day, in terms of "life imitating art".It seems like the perfect day to protest the infringement of our liberty and freedom.I would emplore people to email Debbie at drichardson@bizec.rr.com and request that the protest be changed to include Novemeber 5.Fro
  7. Morgan played very tight during the final table. He then lost most of his chips on an ill-timed bluff vs Paul. The hands against Cindy were bad luck, but the damage had already been done. The problem with ESPN's coverage is that they only show VERY few hands from the final table. Trying to condense 9 hours (or in some cases 12+ hours) of action into a 1 hour show (with probably only 30 minutes or less of poker) leads to some very misleading shows.Perry
  8. For some reason, ESPN decided not to show one of the biggest pots of the tourney. Other than my elimination pot (the biggest pot) and Cindy's elimination (the second largest), this was the biggest and it was while we were still 5 handed.I raised on the button with TT. Paul called in the BB with AA. The flop came QT2. Paul checked, I bet, he pushed all in and I insta-called.Before you fault Paul for slowplaying preflop, I don't think it was a bad play... he simply got unlucky. And, it's unlikely had he reraised preflop that the outcome would have been any different. If he reraised, I prob
  9. I don't play anywhere but on Full Tilt Poker, but the above scenario would allegedly be true at the Bike. For some reason, they seem to think that they can hold a NL tourney where they have a bet and three raises max.See the thread from RGP that was linked in earlier. It's simply bizarre.Perry
