This seems weird it shows the board flopping him an open ended as well as a str8 draw. But no mention of this is made in the text? I think one of those cards should be a diamond. If he really flopped that big of a draw the correct paly would have been to pound the flop. If he called that big of a bet he is pretty much commited on the turn no matter what. This all depends on which draw he had.

Buying in for the minimum is weak as does not allow you play to your full potential. Especially in a 1/2 game where the raises preflop often force you to throw away hands that are playable in deep money situations.Ask yourself this if you buy in to the game for fifty and someone raise to 7$ your shouldnt call with 67s as it is more than 10% of your stack. So if you want to sit with 50 and wait for AA or KK and hopefully not get blinded off GL to you.A real player will buy in for the max and create more value for himself and use his stack to get chips.CheersJB
