  1. If you are looking to play LIMIT O/8 games....Prima is the WRONG place to be. But if a limit table ever exists there....it's a LAG paradise...lolif you don't multitable, Pacific is a good place to find soft limit O/8 games. For PLO8....prima usually has a 0.10/0.20 game going.
  2. The crux of it is that party supposedly is no longer allowing its "skins" (Empire, etc.) to share the Party Poker player base.
  3. Wow...a re-raise preflop with KK95? maybe i should move some of my money over to party...lolTough break Tim.
  4. Rakes like this are fairly common at most B & M. In STL it's 10% max $4 +$1 for the Bad Beat Jackpot. But players are often horrendous at B & M too. From what I have read...Florida has particularly wild players because the max limit offered is $1/$2....people go to casinos to gamble...$1/$2 isn't enough for gamblers...lol
  5. danny's right...you have made it a tough decision with the min re-raise....push it up to at least 20 bb....and if they go all in then with AA...then pay em off. A lot of people will push their whole stack with KK....AA vs. KK doesn't happen enough to worry about it. Although I would worry a bit about it in this scenario.
  6. You could be behind to a set....but with 3 pair in a four handed game....that's a bit hard to believe. And even if you are behind to a set....you have up to 11 outs to bail out.The 200 chip bet is weak...but unfortunately, you will be committing a lot of chips to this hand otherwise. If you want them to get off of their weaker flush or straight draws....you need to pot it really. And if you do get called by a set...you have outs.So it's either check or pot it. I am on the fence with what I would do because you are first to act....if you were last to act and it was checked to you....easily
  7. Well, you said the table is laggish, but I have a tough time believing that neither of them have AA. Especially with the min raise UTG...that's always something to watch out for. If that is the line of thought, then what it boils down to is how much more you're going have to call to cover both of them.you need to get about 4 to 1 odds here if one of them does have AA....this would occur if each of the villians had only about 20bb stacks. If AA is the shortstack though...you can have worse odds than this to call.Personally, I don't think MP2 has it, but UTG does. MP2 may be trying to shut y
  8. Easy fold preflop. T99 is very weak in Stud8...and I am not an expert in this game either. Some schools of thought tell you to muck KKx preflop even.
  9. Also note you can listen to Canadiens games in French on nhl radio. It's amusing for me...and sorta helps me not forget the french i learned in high school...lol
  10. I watched a bit of the rangers/flyers game on OLN before the g/f griped at me to change it....and for the 15 or so minutes that I watched....I wasn't impressed. Was it Sam Rosen that was announcing that game? I'd probably even take Gary Thorne over him...lol
  11. You and me both. If he doesn't have at least a flush or a wheel...I would be a bit shocked. He probably puts YOU on the flush, and maybe the flush + wheel. I have a feeling if you bet here you aren't going to get a call....you're either getting a fold or a raise against you. The raise is a little doubtful too....because if he actually had a nut something, he is possibly making a value bet here. I'm not sure how much value you'll get out of betting, and I would be fearful of a pot raise. So I am either leaning toward checking behind....or "value betting" half the pot, and hoping for just a
  12. I remember reading a comment that smash doesn't post hand histories because most hands are fairly straightforward. But I really appreciate this one, it has been very thought provoking for me.
  13. I call. His pre-flop raise looks like a position raise, probably with A2xy, with at least one of xy being a wheel card. His flop bet in to you doesn't tell us much - any A2 will probably continue here. His call of your raise suggests that he maybe doesn't have spades, and he may well put you on A2s.With the 2 on the turn, his bet may be designed to test his read of your holding A2, or he may have had A24x, with x even being a 6. In the former category would be all the A23x and A25x hands. So I would put him 2:1 on a bluff here.If he is bluffing:If you raise back into him, he is going to fold
  14. Raise the flop more if you think he has any chance of top pair + flush draw. TP + flush draw will call you no matter what probably. Like smash said...you priced a flush draw with the small raise since there were so many limpers preflop.
  15. The problem with this is "the other two players called"....one of them has a queen probably. Are you getting 20 to 1 on your money? If not, fold this crap. You definitely misplayed this post-flop
  16. Smash...I just edited it...I didn't notice you picked up Flush draw on the turn.
  17. ok, so in this situation, are you looking to get all your chips in? assuming he has A46, what is your equity (approx)this is what I don't get about omaha PL strategy - do you pump in now with your equity advantage or just call and wait for the river. i'd assume the former, but I'm never sure with O8 PLSmash would be a 52.5 to 47.5 dog in equity against A46. A 4 to 3 favorite against villain wheel + flush draw. And a 6 to 4 favorite in equity against the wheel only. If you don't believe he has A46, a push is in order. You have a significant edge over any hand other than A46. Re-raise.
  18. With this many people in...you're in it deep, even if you arent dead to one out already....muck it.
  19. definitely muck PF....but I understand the frustration limp...I make boredom calls too...one of my leaks.
  20. Not everything follows PLO 101...if you end up putting the person all-in....he isn't going to face a turn bet here. 9 outs...which he almost certainly has...is sufficient in this case to be a marginal call.
  21. If this dude is as solid as you say he is....why is he calling a raise OOP with 56xx or 55xx? And even if he does have the boat....you have up to 9 outs to out boat him, so pot odds makes this a correct call even if he has the boat, I believe. 400 to call to possibly win 800? you are laying better than 2 to 1 here unless he shares an A,J,T with a 5, 6. Call me a fish....but it's time to "gambooool"!Edit: after reading the rest of the thread....There are exceptions for calling a raise against a maniac with 56xx, OOP....when xx = AA, KK, QQ....lolThe call is marginal overall if you put h
  22. I have yet to see it as well. In normal play it definitely doesn't happen often.
  23. I believe that was An Tran...and he hasn't won a WSOP event since....what a dumbass.
  24. When I read this the first time...I thought tim had A7 in his hand....making me wonder why he didn't raise the river...lolSince that was not the case....I think you played it ok.
  25. I am pretty sure krieger's article is more for limit O/8....in PLO8, you definitely are looking for hands with stronger scooping potential.
