passion about animation. Nothing beats it!! 8) Personally, if we're talking old school animation, i'd have to go with teenage mutant ninja turtles. Donatello was the man. And who can forget Vanilla Ice in the movie!! Those were the days....

 Family guys screams it in over the simpsons now but what do you expect. I mean, the simpsons has been going for 15 odd years. Its run its course I think, Things get stale eventually. Peter is the new Homer
Yeah, the words flogging, dead, and horse come to mind.
Nowadays, the Simpsons suck ass. It's alright. I haven't watched enough of them to really form an opinion. Based on what I have seen though, I prefer the Simpsons! -
lol
It's probably difficult to muster the energy to play while drinking rum and arguing with your parrot, though.
the fact that I work 9-5 and still don't play in the Neg-O, even though this guy is clearly distraught at the fact that he can't.I hate that working 6 nights a week prevents me from participating in fun things like playing in the Neg-O.And people who smell of eldeberries. -
very briefly, god has a set on the flop and the big bang sucked out with a straight on the river and they've been arguing who is the better player to this day :-)

I always thought baseball was more popular than basketball. It seems that i've been living in a dream world. :-)
I would say that football (not soccer) is by far the most popular sport at all levels. Now if you're talking about participation (as to how many people play). I would say that soccer is big among kids (when you count boys and girls), and basketball is big among teens and adults.I have no statistics to bak this up though. Here's another question.Whats bigger in the states (and canada)?Soccer, basketball, nfl and baseball at amatuer (like school kids) level and/or pro level -

Don't worry mate. There aren't may australians losing too much sleep over our national baseball team. :-) At the moment, the whole country is geared up to try and get into the soccer world cup. We haven't been in it for 40 years!! haha. But after we lose both our matches to Uruguay, we'll go back to not caring for another 4 yearsHere's another question.Whats bigger in the states (and canada)?Soccer, basketball, nfl and baseball at amatuer (like school kids) level and/or pro levelI thought nfl would be in pro level and perhaps soccer (including females) at amateur level.I guess i should include ice hockey for the canadians. What was the name of the #99 player. Waynes World or something?? :?
Well I saw the Australian Olympic Team get beat by the US amateurs by the slaughter rule so I think we've got the Land Down Under covered...The world series of baseball and the world champions of baseballI don't get it. Why do you guys in america call your national baseball champions the world champions. Shouldn't they be the US champions or something else (maybe the unofficial steroid supremos??) Seems weird but hey, thats what different cultures are all about

That brain fart line broke me up :-)The crticism isn't a personal attack on anyone at all. All great players make mistakes some times, or have brain farts from time to time. -
All the time!! in the summertime it is as good as goldWho won the Olympic gold medal for baseball? I thought Cuba was up there with the states or aren't the pro's allowed to play?and while we're on baseball, has anyone spared a thought for the game it was derived from...yes, thats right, CRICKET!!! the greatest game of allwe're talking about a game where the SHORT version goes for 1 day and the long version goes for 5 days but the best bit is that getting hit on the body by fast bowlers (135km/hr-160km/hr depending on the bowler) is not only legal, but encouraged!Has anyone in Australia put vegemite on a torttila chip and melted some cheese on it? Maybe throw some shrimp and mango salsa on there too. mmmm. :-)
-
I like nachos too. But here is a great divider. I like vegemite. In fact, i love vegemite. Need a fix almost every day. Do our two cultures seperate here? :-)

Hey guys, pretty new to poker. Only played a couple hundred hands Just wondering if I played this hand right. I was to the left of the big blind. I think I may have check/called to many times but I had a feeling these guys were playing pretty tight (it was my 3rd hand). Comments, criticism and advice would be appreciated.I am keelsyTexas Limit Hold'em $0.25-$0.50 (real money), hand #1,408,792,428Table Lae, 28 Oct 2005 11:51 AMSeat 1: LoganJC ($8.45 in chips)Seat 2: dearg ($16.95 in chips)Seat 3: wimpy27 ($63.80 in chips)Seat 4: Maxi38 ($9.15 in chips)Seat 5: FLD III ($19.95 in chips)Seat 6: J1400Smith ($19.20 in chips)Seat 7: DRAKX ($13.75 in chips)Seat 8: damightypies ($24.15 in chips)Seat 9: keelsy [5H,5S] ($8.70 in chips)Seat 10: rodrigo86 ($11.15 in chips)ANTES/BLINDSDRAKX posts blind ($0.15), damightypies posts blind ($0.25).PRE-FLOPkeelsy calls $0.25, rodrigo86 calls $0.25, LoganJC folds, dearg calls $0.25, wimpy27 calls $0.25, Maxi38 calls $0.25, FLD III folds, J1400Smith folds, DRAKX folds, damightypies checks.FLOP [board cards 5D,5C,3C ]damightypies checks, keelsy checks, rodrigo86 checks, dearg bets $0.25, wimpy27 calls $0.25, Maxi38 calls $0.25, damightypies folds, keelsy calls $0.25, rodrigo86 folds.TURN [board cards 5D,5C,3C,QH ]keelsy checks, dearg checks, wimpy27 checks, Maxi38 checks.RIVER [board cards 5D,5C,3C,QH,3H ]keelsy bets $0.50, dearg folds, wimpy27 folds, Maxi38 calls $0.50.SHOWDOWNkeelsy shows [ 5H,5S ]Maxi38 mucks cards [ AS,7C ]keelsy wins $3.40.SUMMARYDealer: J1400SmithPot: $3.65, (including rake: $0.25)LoganJC, loses $0dearg, loses $0.50wimpy27, loses $0.50Maxi38, loses $1FLD III, loses $0J1400Smith, loses $0DRAKX, loses $0.15damightypies, loses $0.25keelsy, bets $1, collects $3.40, net $2.40rodrigo86, loses $0.25

although there's no way i could've played (unless sydney and las vegas's timezones suddenly aligned!), just wanted to add to the thankyou's for being so open and accessible. It means alot to all of us.I'll do a stereotypical newbie post and annoy the veterans by saying you can play in my home game in sydney anytime you're in the neighbourhood!

and its gone up to a minute reading the whole thread!!!You joined FCP just to tell us that? I demand that you return the 30 seconds I wasted reading that pointless story. -
