Gotta disagree with you there pal. Daylight savings comes on tonight over here. So now the sun doesn't go down till 8.30pm. Beers in the sun down by the beach after work on a beautiful spring/summer day. Gotta love it :-)f'n austrailians that don't understand that when spring/summer starts down under fall/winter is happening here.you are a dead set goose mateif you don't have the ability to assume that i was referring to the benefits of daylights savings for our respective seasons then you need to give yourself an uppercut.

  3. passion about animation. Nothing beats it!! 8) Personally, if we're talking old school animation, i'd have to go with teenage mutant ninja turtles. Donatello was the man. And who can forget Vanilla Ice in the movie!! Those were the days....
  4. you are fast becoming a favourite digitalmonkey
  5. Nowadays, the Simpsons suck ass.Yeah, the words flogging, dead, and horse come to mind. Family guys screams it in over the simpsons now but what do you expect. the fact that I work 9-5 and still don't play in the Neg-O, even though this guy is clearly distraught at the fact that he can't.It's probably difficult to muster the energy to play while drinking rum and arguing with your parrot, though.lol
  7. very briefly, god has a set on the flop and the big bang sucked out with a straight on the river and they've been arguing who is the better player to this day :-)
  8. I would say that football (not soccer) is by far the most popular sport at all levels. Now if you're talking about participation (as to how many people play). I would say that soccer is big among kids (when you count boys and girls), and basketball is big among teens and adults.I have no statistics to bak this up though.I always thought baseball was more popular than basketball. It seems that i've been living in a dream world. :-)

  10. Well I saw the Australian Olympic Team get beat by the US amateurs by the slaughter rule so I think we've got the Land Down Under covered...Don't worry mate. There aren't may australians losing too much sleep over our national baseball team. :-) At the moment, the whole country is geared up to try and get into the soccer world cup. We haven't been in it for 40 years!! haha. But after we lose both our matches to Uruguay, we'll go back to not caring for another 4 yearsHere's another question.Whats bigger in the states (and canada)?Soccer, basketball, nfl and baseball at amatuer (like school kids
  11. All the time!! in the summertime it is as good as goldWho won the Olympic gold medal for baseball? I thought Cuba was up there with the states or aren't the pro's allowed to play?and while we're on baseball, has anyone spared a thought for the game it was derived from...yes, thats right, CRICKET!!! the greatest game of allwe're talking about a game where the SHORT version goes for 1 day and the long version goes for 5 days but the best bit is that getting hit on the body by fast bowlers (135km/hr-160km/hr depending on the bowler) is not only legal, but encouraged!
  12. I like nachos too. But here is a great divider. I like vegemite. In fact, i love vegemite. Need a fix almost every day. Do our two cultures seperate here? :-)
  13. The world series of baseball and the world champions of baseballI don't get it. Why do you guys in america call your national baseball champions the world champions. Shouldn't they be the US champions or something else (maybe the unofficial steroid supremos??) Seems weird but hey, thats what different cultures are all about
  14. thanks for the advice everyone. It means alot to someone who is still getting the hang of it. Reading this strategy forum is sweet. Here's hoping you all get quads soon (since i know you won't be playing at my level haha )
  15. Hey guys, pretty new to poker. Only played a couple hundred hands Just wondering if I played this hand right. I was to the left of the big blind. 16. although there's no way i could've played (unless sydney and las vegas's timezones suddenly aligned!), just wanted to add to the thankyou's for being so open and accessible. It means alot to all of us.I'll do a stereotypical newbie post and annoy the veterans by saying you can play in my home game in sydney anytime you're in the neighbourhood!
