Man I am rusty. After posting this it occurred to me turn is a bet, river is a check. Probably bet/fold the turn and check/call the river.

I'm a little rusty... may have pooched this completely. Table is a little laggy. Thought of just calling because I dont think raise narrows the field a ton here. Wasn't really sure where I was on the river but I was calling if villain bet.Party Poker $0.02/$0.04 Limit Hold'em - 9 players - View hand 1043900DeucesCracked Poker Videos Hand History ConverterPre Flop: (1.5 SB) Hero is UTG with 9 9Hero raises, UTG+1 calls, 1 fold, MP1 calls, 2 folds, BTN calls, 2 foldsFlop: (9.5 SB) 4 Q 8(4 players)Hero bets, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, BTN callsTurn: (6.75 BB) Q(4 players)Hero checks, UTG+1 checks,

Yeah, I believe it's 6 months. A couple of times a year I got $5 free from them, and popped on to play a tourney or a couple SNGs. In fact I think the $1.28 was leftover from the last free 5 they gave me.

Hey all. After a 2 year hiatus from poker I logged on to a few sites last night for the first time, and I've decided to start playing again and frequenting the community. I'm going to try to rebuild a bankroll with no deposit. I have about 4k player points on full-tilt, and I had $1.28 on Party in cash when I logged on. The plan is to play micro LHE on Party, and use the FT points for $1 tourney tickets and play as many daily dollars as I can. I'm up to $4 on Part after my first session of .02/.04 LHE.Once I get the rust off, I'll start posting a few hands here and there. Hope to see som

I'm calling. You gave up on the hand at the turn, so the odds of inducing a bluff go up.
-
As played I don't see a fold here. You've underrepresented your hand, and his bet is only pot sized, so IMO you're committed here.I would have re-raised to 600 preflop, and lead nearly pot size at that flop. Finally, 8 is not that passive. He's open-raising on the button 5-handed. I see no reason to play timidly here.

My odds against that range are pretty close to 50/50. Without running the ICM, I would think it'd be a pretty thin call against that range. Hmmm...
-
I do too, but UTG shoved, so is it call or fold? If I give UTG your shoving range, then I probably have to fold. I have him on a wider range UTG with blinds so high, but I'm not sure if it's wide enough to call. Anyone know what his range needs to be to make it a good call?

Thanks...thought so. I'm about 0 for 30 lately, and down $100 just on these alone in the last week or so. I guess it's starting to mess with my head a bit.

I dunno. Forrest won 2nd 10-8, and the 5th 10-9. I thought 1 went to Rampage 10-9. I thought 3 and 4 were too close to call and could go either way. Apparently the judges split those rounds between them The scores seemed about right to me, but I wouldn't have been surprised if it ended up a draw.
-
In other buyins and formats, I'd agree, but if you played 20 or more of these 3.25 turbs, I think you'd be very surprised at what people will limp.
-
I don't mind racing either if it comes to that, but with the pot juiced like this, I'd much prefer the folds when I shove.
-
Put down volume 1, and pick up volume 2. The second book is all about endgame, which is what you are asking about. V1 will help you. V2 will help you with THIS problem.

Wait a sec. I don't think I want calls from overcards. With this much money in the pot already, I MUCH prefer folds than flipping for stacks. Yes...shove all day, but not because we want KJ calling.
-
Thanks. I think I'm losing my mind. The limper had AA of course. This exact situation has happened 3 times in the last 24 hours, so I just needed someone to tell me I'm doing the right thing.

QFTI only play turbos, and QJ is not really playable here. If you're raising, it's a steal. If stealing, QJ is pretty awful. Steal from late against medium stacks, and keep chips for fold equity. If you were really short, you could consider shoving, but this is a really bad spot to raise pf.
