When the cards get turned up he sees that he was bluffed out of the sidepot and that Daniel is still in the tournament. So he loses the pot and doesn't get to move up the money ladder.

I spoke with a dealer at the newly opened poker room at the venetian after he dealt the big game that was being played in the 'salon'. They were playing 4k/8k and the players have their own stack of chips for tipping. Each dealer works in 30 min rotations.
