  1. 7 left in a 141 person tourney on Full Tilt. I've been playing pretty tight and just showed a big hand and doubled up to around 25k, 4th best stack i think. The other three short stacks are just under me. Blinds are at 600/1200 with a 100 ante(not positive about ante). I get 8d9d in the sb. EP limps, button limps. Flop is Qd8c2d, giving me a flush draw and mid pair. Now what?
  2. Man do I regret doing all my bonus whoring 2 years ago.
  3. I want to get rakeback but I have existing real money accounts at pretty much all the major sites, and I don't really want to start playing some crap sites all the time. If I started a new account at one of the places I play now and use a different email address but the same neteller account, will that be a problem? thanks.
  4. I don't like using the mouse for multitabling too much and id like to experiment with other options. Is there a way to make it so that i can just use my keyboard? I'm not sure if this is an easy or difficult answer. Also, any suggestions on making online poker easier are appreciated.
  5. you just gotta play. There are things you don't understand because you just started that no one understands when they start playing. I can't explain them and I don't think anyone else can either. You will begin to understand more and more things as you play, so just play. But for more concrete help, dont min raise, which has been said. Also, in tourneys, you have to get control of the table to be really successful. You can't just sit and wait for big hands, you have to make some moves and get some chips. Ideally, the decisions that other players make on the table should evolve around what yo
  6. I think my reraise made it glaringly obvious that I had a huge hand. I think that play loses a lot of value in most situations and it is magnified in a kill pot.
  7. Anyone play kill games online? UB has them. I was wondering what changes to strategy should be made for these games. I was just in a kill pot with AA, early position player directly to my right raised and I reraised, and instantly thought this was a dumb move, which led me to wondering about these kill games.
  8. being on a bad downswing myself, I'm wondering when it turns from being in a rut to just sucking at poker. When I'm winning I think I'm an amazing poker player but when I'm losing I think I'm terrible. Stupid online makes it worse. I think online poker is a lot more stressful than live.
  9. Daniel is definetly right about the bet with JJ from the SB being a bad play. That's the first thing that stood out about the first post, the guy was like raise with JJ, that's a given. No, no it's not. JJ is not often going to hold up, especially in a low limit game, so the raise is not profitable at all. The only thing the raise does is gives away your hand's strength. I always wondered what those SB BB raisers are thinking. Anyway as for the rest of the hand, its either a check fold. (not my choice), or a bet on the flop, bet on the turn and maybe a bet on the river if you're feeling it. (p
  10. After actually playing hands like these since my last post and running it through in a simulation and stuff, I retract my previous position and will have to agree with check calling for reasons people have already mentioned.
  11. If this is a low limit game, it all depends on your read of the player. Very rarely will they be tricky enough to even consider half the stuff that would present a bluffing opportunity for them. Also, a lot of low limit players practically consider pre-turn betting as free money because they are only half bets, some get a little crazy. So again whether to raise or call down depends on the player. I would say raise though if it's low limit, because although you may be getting a worse hand to bluff if you check, there is a very good chance they will just check behind you. What about if positio
