  1. Dude, it's official.....You are the worlds biggest tool.
  2. I have been having the same luck on pokerroom.com. I have had them about a dozen times in the last two days....I've won twice, and only because I've flopped sets with them
  3. You are always going to get some stubborn players at any level. But I have found the players to be generally better as I have moved through limits. Sometimes there is nothing you can do about it, some people just have no respect for money, or they are there to do what we are doing......Gamble.
  4. If you have Limewire you can download virtual PC for free. It is all over LimeWire. I have virtual PC for my Mac and I don't really like how UB performs on it. I have a 15'' PowerBook 1.33ghz with 768 megs of Ram. Even with the extra Ram it still lags a little and it's really choppy when loading up. I just stick with Pokerroom.com
  5. Good luck man. One piece of advise though. If over the course of working your way west to east you blow that whole 125K (assuming that that's everything to your name) just make sure you have enough gas left in that baby to get it over Niagra Falls.
  6. Yeah, lets not turn this into RGP for God's sake.
  7. If your going to play at a casino while your underage you better hope you don't hit a bad beat jack pot. They require proof of age and identity. I can't even imagine what it would feel like to to win $50,000 and not be able to claim it.
  8. I was playing 5/10 w/a kill at the casino the other night and flopped quad 7's twice within 20 minutes. Then about 2 hours later I flopped a set of Kings and hit the 4th King on the river. Nobody could believe it and the best part was I got paid off every time.
  9. Simple solution DKE.....move up in limits where the money matters more. I used to have the same problem (we all did or do) in the lower limit games (3/6, 4/8). Try 10/20 or 15/30. But these guys are all right, you win way more money off clueless maniacs than you do against the smarter tighter players. Try moving up to limits where you feel you are equally matched and see how you do. But be warned, you get crazy players in higher limits too. As far as your pocket kings go, why wouldn't you get in the pot with 67 or 78 when 6 people in front of you have already called two bets cold.
  10. In limit, I like to play it as aggressively as possible pre-flop, except if it's alredy 3 bet before me (then it depends on who is doing the raising and what type of player they are...I'll just call....cap if they are loose aggresive). If the flop is checked to me then I"ll fire one out and see what everyone does. If everyone calls and I don't hit an ace or preferably a king I'll check the turn and fold to a bet. As for no-limit, I don't really know what to tell you, I don't play nl very much.
  11. This is exactly why kids should not play poker. Although I do like it when hot shot kids who have just finished watching ESPN swagger into the casino to take their "big shot" I think they are misunderstanding the game. They don't really have respect for gambling and this is a perfect example. But I'll tell you what kid, you better pray that she is just bluffing when she says she needs to take a pregnancy test. Good luck, and remember, date rape is a crime.
  12. There are safe deposit boxes in a back room right next to the chip cage. I was there one night and saw Jennifer Harmon and Howard Lederer go into the back. Actually, the only reaason I know that is because I was standing next to Jennifer when she asked someone behind the desk to let her in. I assume they keep a combination of cash and chips back there.
  13. The only way that I have found to effectively combat that is to move up in limits. If your playing 3/6 , 4/8 and even 5/10 chasing out K8 with a raise won't usually happen against a weak loose player, especially if they have already limped in, so they might as well call one more bet and hope to hit a flop. And when they do your AK is way behind the guy who just spiked K's and 8's. My suggestion is to play 10/20 and higher. I've been playing 15/30 for a few months now and I find it to be a much better game. Don't get me wrong, you still get clowns in there with trash hands and bad beats ha
